This is probably one of the best tapioca places in the area but they have horrible service! Starting with false advertisement all the way to stealing. They have the option to customize your order and add certain toppings for a certain extra charge. Well we have been customers of this place for over 5 years and recently started getting toppings added to our sandwiches, well let me tell you there was no difference in the sandwich as to a before or after the extra jalapeños. This has happened a couple of times where we pay for extra toppings and they are not placed on the order. They also advertise that they take card/credit card as a form of payment on an order of $10 USD or more. But today we had a very sketchy experience happen, we placed an order of 2 sandwiches extra jalapeños (of course they were not there but I sure paid for them as always) and 2 drinks our total was $19 USD even. Once I handed the card to the employee she stated “you don’t have cash” to which I responded with a puzzled look “um it’s $19 ? You can’t take my card?!!” She proceeded to say “no cash is much better”. I luckily had some cash and was able me to pay for my order, because if not I would of have been screwed like the times before. We also had an experience a few weeks ago where the employee did not let us in the shop 30 minutes until closing time because we did not have cash and refused to provide service. It is almost 2020 people please get with the program and update your payment methods and stop false advertising a payment method you refuse to use. I understand cash money is great and there is no paper trail but this is ridiculous...
Read moreRoyal Tapioca is a small, family-owned shop that serves up some of the best boba and sandwiches in Houston. The boba is made with fresh ingredients and comes in a variety of flavors, including milk tea, fruit teas, and smoothies. The sandwiches are also made with fresh ingredients and are very affordable.
I've tried a few different boba drinks at Royal Tapioca, and they've all been delicious. My favorites are the milk tea with boba pearls and the fruit tea with fresh fruit. The boba pearls are cooked perfectly and have a chewy texture. The fruit teas are also very refreshing and flavorful.
I've also tried a few different sandwiches at Royal Tapioca, and they've all been great. My favorites are the BBQ pork sandwich and the grilled chicken sandwich. The bread is soft and fresh, and the fillings are flavorful and juicy.
The service at Royal Tapioca is always friendly and efficient. The staff is always happy to help you choose the perfect drink or sandwich.

Read moreI found this place doing a quick google maps search for Boba since my usual place was closed. It was my first visit here and from the outside, I'll admit I was a bit lost trying to figure out which door was the entrance but once i found my way in, it was well worth it. I ordered 1 strawberry frosty, a strawberry banana and also got a mango smoothie. I wanted to try a variety of my usual drink orders to compare plus the strawberry frosty to try since I had never heard of it. The employees were really friendly and hilarious as they were teasing each other and having a great time. It was a fun environment. A mixture of cultures working together, asians and Hispanics, teaching each other their languages and making fun of each other in the process. I felt like i was at home. The drinks were all amazing and will...
