Pollos Asados La Silla — Restaurant in Houston

This place would be great if management cared about their employees. I walked over in the morning to get breakfast tacos and online it says they open at 8am. So at 8:05 I started walking and got there around 8:08. I notice the sign wasn’t on so I waited. It was 8:15 and the sign wasn’t on, so I thought, well maybe they forgot to turn it on. I walk in and they tell me that nothing is ready and that the workers are barely getting there. I’m sorry, if a restaurant opens at 8 am, their employee should be there at least 30 mins before. I don’t know what management is doing, but it’s not taking care of their employees. If management cared, maybe their employees would be happy to come to work and have everything prepared by the time they open. I gave this place two stars cause the food really is good here but employees don’t care and just want to get their hourly and get out. Don’t come to this place in the first hour or the last, you won’t get service....

After hearing great things about this establishment, I decided to give it a try for a Friday night dinner. I ordered the Family Parillada and boy was i disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. The only good thing and thus the one star was for the meat ,it was tender and juicy. However, the sides were a disaster the rice was stale and had no flavor , the charro beans were a disgrace to mexican food. The beans had an overwhelming scent of pickled jalapeño juice, the one that is used to preserve canned jalapeño peppers.It seems that they just opened the can and poured the contents on the beans. It takes no more than 1 minute to chop fresh jalapeño peppers to make decent charros, instead of a half-assed attempt. It baffles me to see that they have good reviews, it makes me wonder why the patrons keeps coming back. Are they just used to sub-par food? Very disappointed will...

Horrible. I order as another Man was picking up his Food. His order was wrong. I tried to tell the Lady it was OK, amd Calm her down. So she takes my order, amd i sit and Wait. I get my Food, and as I start to unwrap it I'm told they are now closed, and I have to go. So I politely pack up my Food, and leave. I sit in my truck, and start to eat, because I'm Starving. That is when i notice my order is wrong. So I go back to the Door. Bo one will come,to the door, so I call. I talk to her, and let her know my order is totally wrong, and I'd like the Food i ordered. She told me they are closed, and can't do,anything about the Food. So i say Fine, I'll take a refund. She says thwy are closed, and she can't help me. I will never return to...
