OK, now that I’m not so angry I wanted to re-edit my review, Me and my wife were craving barbecue so we decided to give this place a shot. It’s not too far from the house. I ordered the three meat two sides. I did the double brisket and chicken and my wife did the chopped beef, sausage and brisket. First, let’s start on the brisket. It seem like all the meat was only lean cuts. It was completely dry and honestly tasted old. Onto the chicken the chicken tasted like they boiled it in water for 12 hours slapped on some liquid smoke and smothered it in barbecue sauce. It was repulsing. Onto the sausage I don’t know if it’s homemade sausage but it taste like the cheap helm sausage you get from Food town basically like a hotdog one bite and I almost puked Now onto the side orders, my wife seemed to enjoy the Mexican street corn I ordered french fries and fried okra. The french fries were decent. I can’t complain about them kinda hard to mess up french fries. The fried okra must not be fresh. It’s previously frozen and they just throw it in grease, which was overcooked too dark and the oil tasted old. I also decided to try and order of Samosa they had And I thoroughly enjoy Samosa however, these were completely left in the oil for too long way too dark, and it completely ruined the flavor with their dirty oil. If I could give this place less than one star, I would the only reason they got rated higher on the other things is because the staff was nice. The place was clean. It smelled good however unfortunately the food sucks. I spent a little over $50 on me and my wife’s lunch and I wasted 99% of mine. She just got off work and was really hungry so stomach threw and ate half of hers before we had to...
Read moreGot to agree with a couple others. When I came to Randys I was expecting Kileens or Central Texas ..or even Brisket House BBQ..this was NOT it..purchased a 2 meat plate..Brisket..ribs..mac n cheese and Parsley potatoes.. brisket was flavorless....ribs were chewy flavorless and not great either. The Mac had to be boxed because it had no flavor just what seemed what was in package. The potatoes seemed to have been soaked in mop bucket water...was hard in spots and tasted horrible...not worth the 23 or 24 bucks I spent. I wouldnt reccommend either...need new recipes ..or season the brisket and ribs better because the SAUCE wont fix it
And the side bar..pickles were not sliced but chunks like they just got lazy and cut in 3s...
Just a lot lacking...mac n cheese could have a layer of cheese...maybe cajun seasoning mixed in..
Potatoes in better NOT SOAKED for hours in water and parsley
Brisket needs SPG ..ribs as well
And i dont know what wood you smoke with but id go fruity instead of oak
Root beer from...
Read moreI've been here twice. The first time it was okay but there was nothing special. That didn't stop me from giving them another shot. But before I mention the food let me tell you about the meet and greet from the owner. I had a Harley Davidson shirt on and as he's serving me food he strikes up a conversation with "are you one of those Harley Davidson guys?" I responded "if you want to call it that." He precedes to tell me about his son's love for Buell motorcycles. Then asked me if I have a touring bike. I say "yes" and point to it. I then tell him how me and my wife like to ride out to Galveston occasionally. THIS WHERE IT GETS GOOD! He then tells me "yeah that's great, you and your wife could get killed together, it would be a package deal haha." Needless to say I did not find it funny. This is not the way to get new business!! Lastly the brisket was bone dry and the bar b que sauce isn't good, but it's edible..... I, or my family won't be back although this would've been convenient for us because we live around...
