Red River Ice House — Restaurant in Houston

This place went from zero to hero from the parking lot to the i front door. The difference is the owner, Kelly. He started this business on 4 credit cards and he tapped us on the shoulder and asks if we want the ballgame or the music.

He also mentions that they have amazing fish tacos with fresh fish, even fresher pico and just the right amount of creamy sauce.

The fantastic change in this place is the fact that it was an abandoned building 5 years ago and with a complete remodel and the love of a great owner, this place has the freshest beer and the best food in Houston. The staff gives great service and accepted our challenge to name the best barbecue place in Houston.

Not dog friendly. Claim to be. But aren’t. They pick and choose when they feel like allowing certain dogs who are “friends” of the owner. Their excuse to not have my dog when other dogs were there was the others are service animals when clearly they were not service animals. Waitress straight lied to my face with an attitude. Site claims outside food allowed. Also false. Food truck is there randomly. Its an ice house outside food in Texas is generally allowed in ice houses. But nope it’s apparently the discretion of the staff and whether or not they like you. They say we have a kitchen… no you don’t. You have a not attached food cart ran by someone else. Whose hours are unknown....

Really Friendly and nice sports bar near NRG stadium. I ordered a steak sandwich, I gotta admit the sandwich is the best steak sandwich ever. I never expected that the sports bar that serve such a delicious food. Its just happened that they just update their new menu. So I recommend anyone looking a sports bar to hangout or watch some big games with friends should give Red River a try. They also have outdoor patio with planty of space and Park lots.

Update: 10/26/18 OMG! I just tried the Burger for the 1st time at Red River and cannot believe how amazing it was. The mushroom and onion Burger is the best and of course, the French fries. you've...
