Rice Bowl — Restaurant in Houston

They are very rude. I made a phone order because I drive from the east of town because they have great rice, but I may rethink that after today. My sister rode with me because I kept telling her about their rice. So made the order, one for my sister and one for me (specified I had two orders). By the time I made it there I asked the lady about my order and she informs me that there wasn't one for me, but my sister order was there. She asked what i had and i told her. She insisted my sister order was mine and i informed her that i made two orders. The lady became rude and speaking to other people in the restaurant around me. I just looked at my sister and told her if we give the same energy thay she was giving us, they'd call the cops in a heartbeat. I will never recommend this place to anyone after the rude service. Mind you I've received this same service may times, thinking they'd change or progress was a joke...

I been going here for years. Very FAMILY owned and family oriented /friendly business. Not only is your order prepared on spot & also where you can see them cook it I think is awesome to say the least. Business is served whereas orders are taken accurately, cooked thoroughly. And they have really improved their timing which was their biggest mishaps for me. To sum it up. For the most part, it's is no longer a long & and some of the times extremely long waiting period anymore 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼. From my opinionated experiences. Truthfully the 15yrs or longer I've been coming to Rice Bowl. I've never heard a complaint, not a ☝🏼one til this very date of anyone having anything bad to say...

Not what I expected at all, based on the other reviews. The location and the store are both very ghetto. The lunch specials are affordable at $5.50 and up, but do not include soup. The portions are average at best. All chicken dishes are dark meat. There are about 3 dilapidated tables with a few chairs. You order at a counter, If you want to eat there, you eat out of a Styrofoam box with a flimsy plastic fork. They did not even have a plastic knife; nor did they have fortune cookies. (come on) This location does not have the Indonesian menu. The guy said that is the Bellaire location only. I'd avoid this place unless you are...
