Shipley Do-Nuts is a fantastic spot for donut lovers, and my recent visit left me quite impressed. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming aroma of freshly made donuts filled the air. The variety on offer is one of Shipley’s standout features—whether you're craving a classic glazed, a filled donut, or even a kolache, there’s something for everyone.
The glazed donuts are my personal favorite. They have the perfect balance of sweetness without being overpowering. They’re light, fluffy, and almost melt in your mouth. I also tried their apple fritters and was equally delighted. The fritter had just the right amount of crunch on the outside while remaining soft and flavorful on the inside.
What I particularly appreciated was the freshness of everything. You can tell that the donuts are made in small batches, ensuring that they’re always warm and soft when served. It makes a huge difference compared to places where the donuts sit out for hours.
Their coffee, while not the main attraction, is a solid addition to the experience. It pairs well with the donuts and is reasonably priced. The service was also quite good—the staff were friendly, efficient, and made sure the line moved quickly.
If I had to find a downside, it would be that the selection can sometimes run low if you go later in the day, which is understandable given their popularity. I’d recommend visiting earlier to get the best variety.
Overall, Shipley Do-Nuts offers an enjoyable experience for anyone looking for fresh, tasty donuts at a reasonable price. It’s not gourmet, but it doesn’t need to be. It’s simple, delicious, and hits the spot. Four...
Read moreCame here around 830am on a Saturday morning. This location has a convenient drive through which is great. It is quick and easy to order. The only thing is you need to come prepared with your order! I grew up in SB and the shop used to be on Bingle. I miss the location being there. You could see them making the donuts and there were always the usuals there. Kolaches used to taste better, in my opinion and the donuts were definitely bigger! My favorite was the plain cake donut. It was just the right amount of sweetness and moistness. Now its drier than i remember. I dont think it's just this location. Shipley's must have changed their ingredients and/or recipe. I ordered half a dozen and tried one of their new breakfast kolaches (which is a copy cat of the kolache factory). The flavor of the kolache was jalapeño egg and cheese. It was good, and the bread was delicious. A good size for it costing $4. The donuts didn't seem as fresh and warm as I'm used to. My drive home is short so I don't think they would have cooled down that quick. Again, they seemed smaller in size than I remember. Overall, we enjoyed them. I want to try another location soon to see if it's just this location or are the donuts in fact...
Read moreThis is by far the most awkward and horrible location ever. Came by to this Bingle location and the donut shelves were almost empty. They didn't have a huge selection of donuts as other locations. Then they have these 2 guys making the kolaches where they can been seen through a glass window and they are not wearing gloves. They are rubbing their face wiping their hands on their aprons and touching things around there and that is just disgusting. So I guess on this day they had made to many sausage and cheese kolaches with jalapeño not rolled yet into their shape and with their bare hands they take the jalapeño the cheese and the sausage off the dough and stack it onto their hands and store it in a container. Now to me, that's gross, that should have been thrown away especially in these times. Shipleys should ALWAYS supply their employees with the proper PPE especially gloves because I don't know where those hands have been. I won't be returning to this location for sanitary reasons and I don't recommend this...
