As a parent, finding a kid-friendly spot can be a challenge, and Hando Sushi in Houston Spring Branch certainly doesn't make the cut. Their seating arrangement is limited to a continuous u-shaped full bar with raised seating, making it uncomfortable for families or those with accessibility needs.
Navigating through their confusing ordering process is like trying to find your way through a maze blindfolded. With no clear direction on who to direct your requests to, you're left feeling lost and frustrated.
To make matters worse, the staff hovers over you like vultures as you attempt to decipher the menu, adding unnecessary pressure to an already stressful situation.
And let's talk about their so-called sushi. It's more like mini hand rolls, and I mean miniature. While the flavors may be decent, it's far from traditional sushi. It feels more like you're at a bar serving finger food rather than a legitimate sushi restaurant.
But the disappointment doesn't end there. Forgetful staff, misplaced tickets, and even finding a hair in their spicy sauce make for an unpleasant dining experience. And don't even get me started on the state of the women's restrooms. For a place that's only been open since January, you'd think they would have had time to clean them.
Oh, and did I mention they couldn't even bother to cut the hand rolls for those who wanted to share? It's the little things that count, and Hando Sushi fails miserably in that department.
Overall, save yourself the trouble and skip Hando Sushi. There are plenty of other sushi spots in Houston that actually live up...

My friend and I came in during lunch time so we were able to try their lunch course menu which is $21 each. We both got the handroll set that consisted of Spicy Tuna, yellowtail, and salmon (there are two other options that are listed in the menu). I got the curry croquette for the small plate option and my friend got the matchstick salad. As for appetizers (separate from the Prix Fixe Lunch), we ordered the Salmon Kama. Initially we were worried that it wouldn’t be enough but we were both quite full by the end so it’s definitely worth! Although the matchstick salad is a nice refreshing start to the meal, the curry croquette is delicious- perfectly fried with the savory rich curry sauce that everyone loves. As for the handrolls, they were all delicious- the salmon roll was our favorite! Speaking of salmon, the salmon kama was fantastic too. I will say there are a lot of bones so do be careful if you order this but it’s a great appetizer choice if you’re craving more fish. Aside from the delicious meal, the ambiance inside is nicely set up and the service...
