Service: 4/5 Fried Chicken (soy garlic): 4/5 Kimchi jjigae: 1/5 (very watered down and obviously made for non Koreans) Ttukbokki: 3/5.
But. What absolutely destroyed the experience was the bathroom.
The men’s bathroom was slightly better. Floors were SUPER sticky. Not gonna lie, I’ve seen cleaner bathrooms in a random Shell Gas station in the middle of Angleton.
My wife had to pull aside an employee to tell them how awful the women’s bathroom was. No TP. Urine all over the toilet seat. Toilet unflushed. She said it looked like no one cleaned for days. What was worse was the person that occupied the bathroom right before her was an employee. We were a bit paranoid that someone who showed no care in the world of the status of and cleanliness of the bathroom was now serving food. To be clear, I’m not saying that the employee caused a mess in there— Im saying the employee saw it was extremely dirty, she saw that there were no TP and low on soap and just said, “not my problem” and went right back to work. Maybe it wasn’t her problem, to give her the benefit of the doubt. But she went right back to the bar area near where we were sitting and just went to work. then at least give someone else a heads up and not let the customer point out the mess that is the bathroom.
If we hadn’t placed our order and already served our beer, we would’ve left.
Don’t think we’ll be...
Read moreI don’t usually do this, however my friends and I were highly disappointed with the service we received. We came in with a reservation as a group of six, ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. It was as though each couple had a different experience. One couple had all their food come out in order but almost an hour late, another had their entrees come out first with their appetizer brought after the rest of everyone’s food and the last couple had the App and entree brought at the same time but after they had repeated their order five times. An issue that we came to realize was that our server who took our order was not familiar with the menu, nor the etiquette behind serving. A co worker of hers told us that she was new and that she was still getting her footing around the place. This frustrated us more as we were a group of six, having us question why the new girl was taking care of us as opposed to a more experienced server. At the end there was no acknowledgement that the service could’ve been much much better, there was no apology for the mix ups with the food, and nothing was compt, even the appetizer we ordered at the beginning and received at the same time...
Read moreI had their chicken before and it was good but now there is a clear drop off in quality.
The huge red flag was when I ordered for pick up they told me 5 minutes until it’s ready. I have a background in the restaurant business and to fully cook fresh fried chicken takes at least 10-15 minutes. I asked and sure enough they precooked their chicken already and just refry it when they get an order.
After that I told them I had time so if they can just cook it fresh for me I don’t mind waiting 20 minutes. The guy who took my order was reluctant at first saying they don’t normally do it but they would make an exception this time. Well I come pick it up and think everything is dandy but when I get home I give the chicken to my niece and she says she doesn’t like it. I try it and the best way to describe it is if they took the skin of the chicken off and wrapped it in hard plastic.
I’ve had the same rubbery chicken from them previously and thought it was a fluke but this time I’m especially mad because this was food I ordered for my niece and she was looking forward to having good Korean fried chicken. At 16 dollars for 10 pieces of rubber? This was a...
