Taqueria Los Potrillos — Restaurant in Houston

my husband and I decided to give this place a try we went about 8:00 pm Friday night . I know it is a Mexican Resturant but I also believe that they should have atleast one person who can understand english for ordering reasons. The menu was in Spanish Only ! so therefore i was trying to read the menu and deciper by the pictures. so i told the waitress i wanted a enchilada plate'( i asked what kind of meat is offered) she said "only ground beef"- so i say ok i want the ranchero beans- she then proceed to ask me " maam i want to ask you what kind of meat you want"- i said i thought you said it was only ground beef' that went on for another 5 minutes finally got it clear- then my husbamd orders fajita plate and a beer- i ordered a margarita ( which was terriblly watered down)- a few minutes later my husband gets his sizzling fajita plate and we always wait on each other to eat so we sat there a few more minutes which literally turned into latleast 15 mintues. i was mad my husbands food already getting cold and i havent evengotten mine!!! but yet other people who came in after us got food! So i walked up to the cashier asked where is my food' she looked back at the waitress who had a look onher face like ' oops i forgot' mind you. so she asked the cook something g he shok his heas ok yes n i got my plate like 5 minures later !! lukewarm not HOT!! MIND YOU" MY husbands food is already cold !! SO MUCH FOR HAVING A NICE FRIDAY EVENING DINNER .. THEN I walked up to the COUNTER TO PAY- I PAY N SIGN BUT SHE DID PAY ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT I DID NOT LEAVE A TIP !!! AND SHE HAS THE NERVE TO ASK ME 'NO TIP'???. ( WE ALWAYS TIP UNLESS WE GET THE SERVICE LIKE WE DID ) I SAID "No'.... NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO THERE...

This restaurant walking in was quaint and small. Let's just say I was truly disappointed with the service and the food. Both waitress was horrible. One couldn't speak no English and when you spoke to her in Spanish, (after receiving our food) you would think she didn't understand that either. The other one was rude and wanted to argue and combat with customers when the food order was wrong. She even wanted to charge me extra for the sauce that was supposed to go on the enchiladas. We also ordered a drink that she said was authentic, to find out it was a powder cool aid mix. When we ask for something else, again she wanted to charge. This is absolutely one of the worst service. When I asked for a manager she kept telling me that he was gone and won't be back until later and that there was no one that could assist. They even charge you an additional fee to use your credit and debit card. Again, worst experience ever. I was fully willing to get up and walk out without eating if the cook didn't send additional sauce for the enchiladas. I would have gotten better...

Well, first of all, I took my mother here because it was her bday and she wanted to try something different, the restaurant is small and it has a beautiful Mexican style, The reason that I'm giving one star its because of the HORRIBLE service these, the server was rude as soon she approached the table she didn't even say HI! she went straight to take my drink order, then when she brought my food to the table just left in there and never came back to check on me, there was another server that was actually SWEEPING, while I was eating, like OMG!!!! I stopped eating and almost got up so that she could finish sweeping under my table, then I needed a box, so I ask the server for one, and also didn't check to see if we were in need of something, so I got up and ask for another to go container, and this server named BLANCA reply " You only needed one" I'm like hey... I'm a server too and I lobe my job, and I'm sorry Blanca but if you don't like what you do find another job, I don't think I'm coming to this place, because of the horrible customer service these...
