Waited 30m for my 5 sandwiches and 5 plain bread. Everyone that was in front of me came in after me order and left they weren't even called in! I came in speaking English... I can hear them speaking in viet saying oh she can wait it's not important. The girl doesn't speak viet ... when I asked the cashier why my food was taken long in English she said not enough workers then turned over and told the other lady what's my rush in viet.. I used to eat at this place when I was in my early 20’s. Been awhile I came back to this place because I couldn’t stand the daughter in law with her rudeness. But anyways, I decided to give them another try after so many years. Paid $4.75 for the meatball sandwich, and guess what. 2 really small pieces of meatballs with barely any mayo, carrots is being spread out to covered up the small meatballs. The bread is so hard that you can even use it as weapon. I’ve never seen a so sad looking sandwich like that in my entire life that I have been eating sandwiches. Yep, I've lived in Houston for a while now and always wanted to try another banh mi place on Bellaire other than Don's, but was always afraid to. I'm glad I did on my cousin's recommendation. This bread is by and far the most uniquely toasted bread anywhere. I've had banh mi in Saigon, Paris, Cali, Virginia, and other places. It's like they toasted it in a brick or stone oven resulting in small toasty bumps on the bread that gives it that extra pop. It's very affordable but the meat is skimpy. I'd definitely would order extra meat. Overall, great experience and possibly a little better than other competitors...
