I used to be a fan of Zoa’s but last week that changed completely. As many other Houstonians/Texans are aware the week of 2/15-2/19 or so was a tough week for many people. Whether it was because you were without power or without water we all experienced a hardship. I am usually one who shops local and small. I had Zoa’s previously before this last time both at work and ordered from home. However, I decided to order again to support local businesses and because after eating from home all week I wanted a break for 1 meal. I ordered the Casablanca sandwich for myself, my fiancé and a good friend of mine last week. I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst stomach cramps I’d ever experienced. Come to find out my fiancé and my friend also had the same thing happen to them. I had to stay home from work (bc I am an essential worker) because of the food poisoning I was experiencing. I emailed the Zoa’s in Houston that very day from bed and have YET to hear back. If I could give the management there a piece of advice, if you decide to open during a state of disaster, do it if you have the means and are my prepared. If you cannot safely sell food to your customers,...
Read moreZOA Moroccan kitchen is One of the most decent restaurants for quick healthy grabs. One of the most incredible facts about this restaurant, in my experience, has been their consistently on the taste of their food. I have been to the restaurant a few times, my first time there I didn’t enjoy their food, I’m not sure why, maybe because they were new at the time; but when I gave them a second chance and went back, they did manage to surprise me with their upgrade on their team and great foo. Their employees are accommodating, patient, and on top of their game; they give you suggestions, keep the place clean, change their gloves after each customer, and they do not cross-contaminate.
They are, in my opinion, a Halal Chipotle Moroccan Fusion.
I recommend you to create your salad with their beef Tangier and your choice of sauces. Their Moroccan tea is also good but too sweet for my taste. Although their bread is a bit stiffer than Moroccan bread freshly baked in Morocco, however, for a local restaurant in Houston, it is...
Read more2⭐️ service and 3 ⭐️ food. Price is a bit high, upwards of $10 a bowl. Food quality and taste is ok. Concept is good and they are also opening a location in Bellaire. Service is quite poor. Very slowly and seems like everyone except one person (seemed like the most competent person there) lacks training and skills. Pretty much don’t go in if there is more than 2 people ordering because they they will be slow and you won’t have a good experience.
First person got the rice and protein and then just stopped making the bowl and started making an online order while we just stood there in front of her - lady was not even phased that there is a customer standing there and decided to focus elsewhere. Cashier then mixed up everything and packed our plus the people behinds ours’ food into one and charged us for everything - when confronted to void and recharge the right amount he acted like nothing was wrong. Eventually after multiple tries the one competent person stepped in to...
