M. T Nails and Facial Salon LLC — Local services in Houston

This place is very unprofessional. Since the beginning of the summer, I have called about 3 times asking for my regular nail tech, but every time I asked, they would say she was out of town. Finally, today I decided to call and ask for her again and they told me that, yes, she was available. HOWEVER, I showed up to my appointment and all of the workers were very confused when I asked for her. I kept asking if she was there or not, and they did not want to tell me that she no longer works there. They still tried getting me to sit in another nail tech’s chair and I politely declined. They then went to get the owner. I was getting pretty annoyed standing there getting stared at, so when she came out I asked her if my regular nail tech worked there or not and she FINALLY responded no. SO WHY WOULD SHE SAY I COULD COME IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER?! So then she and the other workers laugh it off and try to get me to sit down again and tell me that another nail tech is going to do it. I said “no thanks im good” and walked out. M&T Nails is the best nail salon that I’ve ever been to. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating, and the nail services cannot be beat. I regularly get powder dip nails and shellac spa pedicure, and every single person who has done them is equally proficient. My manicures and pedicures seem to last so much longer than they have at other salons, as well. Today I wanted a particular blue color on my toes that I had a couple of months prior, and one of the ladies remembered the exact color! They make each person feel like a VIP. Note: For some time Washington Avenue was all torn up with construction in front of the salon and it was difficult to get to their parking lot. I’m happy to report that the construction is all completed now and getting to the salon is easy. They take appointments as well as walk-ins, and they offer other services such as waxing, etc. The salon is beautiful, clean, and so welcoming and comfortable, and I find their prices to be excellent. I started coming here over one year ago and towards the fall of 2019 I started to receive sub par service. I decided to try again today and I am very unhappy with the service I received. My nails are not filed the same (2 rounded and 8 square), the powder is uneven, 3 nails are already lifting and several nails are uneven on top (one looks like a raised hill). I voiced my concern to the nail tech and to other nail techs so it could be fixed during the process but nothing was done. Upon leaving I voiced my unhappiness and Tiffany gave me a gift certificate for when I return but I told her I would not be back. I appreciate that she tried but it was too late.
