Disappointing Experience I recently visited Ice Cream On 9 and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. The quality of the ice cream left much to be desired, and the overall cleanliness of the place was concerning.
Firstly, the ice cream itself was not up to the standards I expected. The flavors lacked the richness and depth that I usually enjoy in good ice cream. They tasted artificial and overly sweet, which was quite off-putting. I was hoping for a more authentic and satisfying ice cream experience.
Secondly, the hygiene at the establishment was subpar. The tables hadn't been properly cleaned, and there were visible smudges and spills on them. This gave the impression that the staff might not be paying enough attention to cleanliness, which is a significant concern when dealing with food.
I believe there is definite room for improvement at Ice Cream On 9. Addressing the quality of the ice cream flavors and ensuring a consistently clean and inviting environment would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
I hope my feedback can be taken constructively. I would be willing to give Ice Cream On 9 another try if these issues are addressed, as I believe in the potential for...
Read moreI think this is one of the best homemade ice cream joints in central NJ. And I've been to a bunch of ice cream places throughout Central NJ, some ice cream places that got 4 or 5 stars, that I thought were just mediocre or bad in general. Ice Cream on 9 actually deserves its high ratings it gets on Google.
I'll admit, their prices are a tad bit high, but you get what you pay for in this case, which is good tasting quality ice cream, that doesn't skimp on the ingredients. i.e. Black Cherry has tons of actual cherries in it, Peaches & Cream has a lot of peach pieces in it. And the ice cream itself has a good creaminess and texture and taste.
They have a lot of different flavors to choose from. So much so that it's tough to choose. And they have a lot of vegan and sugar free options to choose from as well. The place always has lines in the summer, especially on sunny days.
I'd recommend the following flavors: blueberry, black cherry, peaches & cream, Pistachio Cherry, German Chocolate Cake, lemon blueberry, banana peanut butter and peach melba. I'm sure the flavors I haven't tried yet are probably just as good. So happy I found this place. Just wish it was closer to where I live...
Read moreIf I can give it a negative rating I would. I went there with my daughter's 1st grade class on June 21, 2018. Her teacher has been taking her class here for the past 19 years. It was a big group of us with about 25 - 30 kids, she also called the night before to give them a heads up we were coming. We were there for a little while when we were asked to go to the outside area because the kids were too loud OR we would have to leave. If that wasn't bad enough, as one girl behind the counter put it when she was telling another customer as she was ringing them up..."we just had a group of about 30 7 year olds in here and they were so loud we couldn't wait for them to leave." Yes, I was waiting in line when I overheard her say this and I thought, "how rude!" Wake up Ice Cream on 9, they're kids, they get noisy, and YES...there was a lot of us, but is that how you treat customers? Spoiler alert, this is a recurring group of paying customers that will NOT be coming back! You just can't treat people like that and expect there to be no...
