In a recent visit to University Urology Associates NJ (UUANJ) I was humiliated and talked down to as if my life and questions did not matter. I have been a patient of the practice for over a year. In that time I have witnessed the following situations:
Small and unsanitary waiting room.
Urine stained seats and bad odor.
Violation of Hipaa Law, discussing patients confidential medical information at the window in front of everyone.
Multiple arguments due to the lack of professionalism from reception staff.
Extremely long wait time in lobby as well as the medical room (once you are called back).
Lack of compassion and unbecoming behavior from medical professionals (Nurse Practitioners and Doctors).
Seen by a Nurse or another doctor in the practice when your appointment was for a specific doctor.
Billed for in-office lab work from another company without prior knowledge that you will be billed separately.
The majority of the staff's âTake it leave itâ mentality regarding medical treatment.
Multiple tests that are recommended each and every visit.
Results are read, verbatim, and you are charged for a doctor's visit. Then you will have to come back for more tests when it you could and should have been tested that very same day. (Makes me feel that it is all about making money)
Doctors will over talk you without allowing you to get a word in edgewise and once you call them out on it, you are deemed argumentative and intimidating when you are simply concerned about your medical well-being.
On the flip side, it wasn't all bad, there was an African-American Medical Assistant that was excellent. He possessed the compassion and professionalism that was refreshing and much appreciated. I wish more of the practice could be just like him.
Needless to say, I will not be going back to this facility. I wouldn't take a sick animal to be euthanized there.
Professionally,
Highly...

Asked to speak to dr and was told i cant because I wasn't seen in the office. Umm hello i had surgery in hospital but cant speak to dr. Than i called again to get a note for work until i can be seen in office. Called in morning, got phone call back at 2pm stating they would speak to dr and call me back. Got no return phone call. Can only leave voicemails which i did at 4pm. Its now 5pm no phone call and no note. This is by far the worse experience from dr.    Read moreNurse practitioners donât care at all about your symptoms. Terrible receptionist! Rude and unfriendly, they ate miserable. NP donât let you talk and they look at you as if you are inventing the symptoms. They take every word as if they know it all and are God and make it seem as if we are just constructing our own aches and pains. The doctor just ends up telling you there seems to be nothing wrong, I guess when I die they just donât give it two tomatoes. I scheduled an app because I feel abnormal symptoms and I listen to my body, not because I want to waste my time and look at the doctors face or hear him say you are fine without ruling out many factors. Also, the place took 2 months to give me a urologist flow test appointment. It is really sickening to experience this treatment of not caring at all for some patients. Do not go...
