I don’t typically take the time to make a review, but hopefully this saves the next family some money and time that could be spent elsewhere.
This was the most god awful mini golf experience I’ve ever been to. I should have known as soon as I drove up that the water feature wasn’t on, and only saw one couple on the course. The sign on the front door said, last mini golf at 7pm and store closes at 8pm, but when we came in the employee said they closed at 10pm and it was our “lucky day”.
We ended up buying 36 holes for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). After paying we found that the course was in terrible shape, the greens were disgusting and dirty, leaves and rocks everywhere, and don’t let me forget the mosquito infestation.
After finishing the first 18 holes, we were welcomed wit loud obnoxious and vulgar R rated RAP music that was being blasted by the employee on the golf course. My kids are 8 and 5 and heard more F bombs in 18 holes of mini golf than they have since they’ve been born.
Upon bringing this up to to the employee and complaining about the music, he asked if I liked it “sarcastically” and told him it wasn’t for kids ears.
We attempted to finished the last 18 holes but the sun went down and of course played the last 10 holes in darkness because the lights for the mini golf course did not turn on.
Upon leaving, the employee was nowhere to be found and we left without the chance for a refund.
This place is an absolute joke and the owners should be ashamed...
Read moreSwingtime has been a go to place for 3 generations. My father and I used to go together, I’ve brought my kids and now I bring my nephew. We attended on a Saturday night around 8pm to use the softball batting cages. First place we stopped was at the counter where we asked for a $10 bill to be broken into two $5’s for the batting cages & while holding 2 bats. To my surprise and disappointment, both softball cages were locked. When asked about it, we were told, it was jamming. That’s understandable but I do believe that at the counter it should have been communicated that only the baseball cages were working. We ended up using the other $5 for tokens at the arcade. We started at the NBA basketball and as we ended, the right one didn’t keep score. We then moved over to the Sonic basketball game and the score light on the left one was out so friendly competition didn’t exist. For both sets of games, some of the balls were flat. At that point we were both disappointed so we moved over to ski ball. The third one took my tokens and no balls came down. The first one dropped balls but it wasn’t a full row. At that point it was time to go. Knowing how Swingtime used to be and what is has become lately, I’m highly disappointed and unfortunately I would drive the extra 10-20 minutes to go somewhere else and not deal with these problems. Swingtime is in a great location, offers a place for a range of ages and budget friendly but being disappointed isn’t worth our...
Read moreWhen we went to purchase tickets, we were not advised that we can only play once or stick to one area. We took a short trip to the bathroom. When we went back to continue playing our game, a man by the name of John came up to us and stated we must leave right now or he's calling the police. We hadn't been disrupting anyone or doing anything we were told not to do, so we simply asked why he was going to call the police on us. He replied that we are taking advantage of the game and that we had to pay for two rounds to play. He, again, never advised us of this, nor allowed us to pay for a second round and was simply aggressive towards us. We immediately decided we no longer wished to be in this establishment and went to leave. As we were walking to leave, I told him politely that he should tell his staff to make customers aware of these rules, to which John said that anyone who has ever played mini golf should know that's the rules. I told him, again, that I was unaware, as I don't play very often, to which he proceeded to belittle me for not knowing rules that were in no way stated to us.
The boy at the front desk was incredibly sweet and I do not wish for this to be a reflection of him, but solely a reflection of John. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and not immediate harassment and intimidation. Safe to say, I will not be returning to this establishment, nor will I recommend it to...
