Juanito's II — Restaurant in Howell Township

Absolutely the worst customer treatment I’ve ever experienced. Ordered takeout and received someone else’s order, which is an honest mistake. Called to explain, and the man who answered didn’t seemed surprised as the other patron likely noted to them first. Of course they didn’t bother to reach out to me to notify us of the wrong order, so found out an hour later when we got home. That same man said our funds would be returned to our credit card and two weeks later it hadn’t happened. Called to explain the situation and they put me on hold many times and then told me to come to store since they were too busy taking orders to deal with the situation. I said no because I live an hour away and they said owner would call the next day. The man on the phone kept on calling me “bro” like he was working at a frat house instead of a restaurant which was extremely u professional. Of course, no call from the owner the next day. I have no issue with a mistake, but the follow up treatment was so unprofessional and shows such a disrespect to their customers. This used to be a go to restaurant whenever we were in town, but I will never patronize this restaurant again. The food had gone downhill for some time anyway, but this blatant disrespect of their customers is beyond embarrassing and unprofessional. Shame on them and shame on the owner - seems like the unprofessionalism starts at the top and trickles down to their workers.

UPDATE. Credit card company was able to recover my funds, no thanks to this restaurant. Still no communication from the owner who seemingly would have been happy taking our money for product not delivered. Shame on this restaurant. Shame on the owner. Shame on the staff. Too many better restaurant...

I want to badly give 5 stars because the food is usually so amazing. But I had a to go order and paid $25 dollars for a salad and the Tuna was to tough it was like jerky and inedible. There wasn’t enough dressing and it definitely wasn’t as good as usual. I tend to get the same thing. I also ordered the $9 guacamole and they gave me a thing with barely any guacamole, had a lot of sour cream and some Pico de Gallo instead. I get things happen, especially when busy, but it cost WAY to much to not get my proper order or for it to come out the way it did. This isn’t the first instance they have messed up with my order. One time they even forgot to make my order all together. Edit to add: they also never answer the phone. It takes a good 10-15 mins of my husband calling sometimes because they don’t answer.

So great food, if they get your order and food correct. Service is alright, but not good.

Edit to add: went down a star because I have the Taco Salad Verde and didn’t want scallops and asked to add chicken, this said it comes with chicken. Guess what I spent 25 bucks in a salad with just shrimp, no chicken. They don’t even know their own menu… and tells me I’m...

I'm sad to write this review. I will start off with the positives, the server's were attentive and on point as well as friendly. I see this place crowded quite often and had higher expectations. The nachos and salsa are unsalted which is fine, chips were good but salsa was watery. The ice cold water with crushed ice is a nice touch and was good. I ordered the 2 enchiladas, 1 chicken and the other cheese with the refried beans and rice. The chicken enchilada did not have much flavor at all, it seemed like pulled grill chicken in a wrap, the cheese enchilada may have been better but it was not hot, it was warm and in the middle was even cooler. The refried bean could have had more potential if they were not lightened up so much, meaning the ingredients could have been heavier. They do not serve alchohol which is fine as well, it's a byob place and wish I knew that in advance...lol. unfortunately I dont think I'll be going back although I had quite a few of my friends interested to go, i decided to just have lunch there and try it out.
