Once upon a time, nestled in the heart of my hometown, stood a quaint little ice cream shop that held a special place in my heart. This beloved place, known simply as "Shivers" was not just any ordinary ice cream parlour—it was a cherished sanctuary of sweet memories and delightful flavors.
My journey with Shivers began during my early childhood years. I can still vividly recall the excitement that bubbled within me every time my family and I would make our way to this charming spot. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly made waffle cones and the colorful display of ice cream flavors that lined the counter.
The interior of Shivers was a cozy blend of vintage charm and cheerful ambiance. From the nostalgic posters adorning the walls to the whimsical ice cream-themed decorations, every detail whispered tales of joy and innocence.
But it wasn't just the ambiance that captivated me—it was the ice cream itself, crafted with love and passion by the dedicated team behind the counter. Each visit was a delightful adventure of choosing from an array of flavors, ranging from classic favorites like chocolate and vanilla to imaginative creations like cookie dough explosion and mango tango. The large man(Shane) behind the counter knew everything there was to know about ice cream. It was almost as if he ate there everyday.
One of my fondest memories at Shivers was the day I discovered my ultimate ice cream combination: a scoop of creamy cookies and cream nestled atop a warm, freshly baked brownie, crowned with a generous swirl of whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles. It was a masterpiece of sweetness that I savored with every blissful bite.
As the years passed and I grew older, Shivers remained a constant haven—a place where time seemed to stand still, and worries melted away with each luscious lick of ice cream. It became a tradition to visit during special occasions, celebrating birthdays, accomplishments, or simply the joy of being together as a family.
Shivers wasn't just an ice cream shop; it was a thread woven into the fabric of my childhood and adolescence, symbolizing carefree moments of happiness and the simple pleasures of life. Even as I ventured out into the world beyond my hometown, the memories of Shivers continued to warm my heart like a comforting scoop of my favorite flavor on a chilly day.
Years may have passed, but the magic of Shivers lives on in my memories—a timeless reminder of the joy found in a scoop of ice cream shared with loved ones, in a place where every visit was a sweet escape into a world of...

Read moreI have eaten here since aslong as i can remember. there was this peculiar individual behind the counter-rather large in stature and width, of which whom i have never gotten his name. but, he almost has a gravitational pull, with his kindness and warmth reels me in every time. they take pride in big. for the dollar i have never seen a larger icecream, and they give big and generous portions. I think the employee gives these portions because that is the size he enjoys. not sure, but everything is big here. and they dont cheap out on the sprinkles or toppings either, ahem kathleen duggan ahem. Now, let's address the elephant in the room – or should I say, the extra scoop on the cone. It's worth noting that te employee, the proprietor himself, is a living testament to the irresistible allure of his ice cream creations. His warmth and jovial personality are as undeniable as the decadence of his frozen delights. HE must eat ice cream for breakfast lunch and dinner, and alot of it too.
Rather than focusing on his physique, it's refreshing to see he is fully embracing the joy of his craft. It's a testament to his passion for creating delectable treats that bring happiness to the community. In a world where authenticity is often overlooked, his unapologetic love for ice cream sets his shop apart. Clearly, everything is made to perfection as he must taste them to perfection. i love this place, 10/10 would return every darn day, but i dont want to end up like the...
