Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Howell Township

New Review: I was over there today. At my previous stop I ordered using the app my rewarded $6.99 Chicken Tenders combo (plus tax) offer and left for Popeyes. I got there, I opened the phone, Sorry Oops this didn't work...we are aware of the problem.

I went in, put the phone down on the counter and said hi, I'm having a problem with the app, please give me the $6.99 tenders deal. The guy behind the counter was a deer in headlights.

I tried 3 credit cards on the app. No luck.

I said look I can wait for your manager, I'm not in a huge hurry, I mean there's milk in the car, but I got a few minutes. He looks down and said the manager isn't here right now. He grabs a fellow employee and says do we have any coupons left? I said there's no manual override? Nope. What about cash?

Here is what I think happened. Unlike other Popeyes, some including this particular outlet, charges extra for the combo, including the included "free sauce", so they want $7.35 for the chicken then include a free sauce. I took out the sauce, knocked it down to $6.99, and the system couldn't accept giving me the correct price.

To me that earns you 2 stars, possibly 1 star.

He said would I accept the regular Chicken Tenders deal? I said if you sell it to me for $6.99 yeah...see I can play at that game too.

I'm glad I didn't spend any gas getting there. I left.

Old Review: It's Popeyes...the only thing one can ever say bad about a Popeyes (in my experience) is when they run out...which has only happened to me once...

The food is what you should expect from Popeyes and thats really good, but that's if you get what you order and after a long wait every time. I placed an order through drive-thru specifically asking for the items (chicken tenders, shrim, and biscuits and not the combos, no sides, drinks etc. I also asked for their jam packets for the biscuits. When i pulled around and paid. The receipt had all full meals with sides that i did not order. When i questioned the receipt they did not correct it, they said it was only .50c more per meal for these additions, and they did not get the concept that this was only for 2 people and more food we wanted and not what i ordered. They then said it would take 3-4 minutes for the chicken to be done, and asked me to pull around. This has happened the past 3 times I've ordered from here, and it took closer to 10 minutes for them to come out with the wrong order, and ultimately without the jam packs I requested. I would say its worth the food if this didnt consistently happen. Go to chick-fil-a chicken is just as good and...

If I could give this place a zero I would. Went in as a family as soon as we walked through the door the place had a foul odor to it . We tried to ignore the smell proceeded to place an order for three chicken sandwiches meals. The girl at the register yelled to the back man do we have chicken and bread for the sandwiches. The the worker in the back was not paying attention and said yeah I got it. Received our cups to get our drinks. The fountains we're almost empty of soda. As we were waiting to get our food they told us that they didn't have any bread for the chicken would we like to change your order. As we were standing there a woman had came in from the drive-through that her order was incorrect and they just gave her whatever they felt they wanted to. Make a long story short this place is unsanitary. They don't have any food. And it should be shut down it's been like this since the first day they opened.
