Was looking for a great Thai restaurant near me in Hamburg, typically we will trek out to Plymouth MI for Thai Ocha, but I am so glad we found this place bc it's a bit closer. Its small on the inside (about 10-11 tables) but it was booming for business which I took as a good sign. My hubs ordered the Fried Rice with beef and shrimp and I ordered the Drunken Noodles with tofu. They didn't ask my husband what "flame" he wanted they automatically marked him down for mild. So when I ordered I said "drunken noodles, tofu, medium flame". I'm pretty sure the guy is used to white ladies like myself ordering like I'm some kind of spice expert bc he immediately followed up my order with "are you sure - have you had OUR medium before"? I studied his face for a moment before taking my brave risk "yes, we gotta try it". He smiled and away he went with our order. As an appetizer I ordered the Tom Kha soup (a coconut veggie soup with huge chunks of mushrooms, tomato, chives) and some fried dumplings. Both were superb. Then our main dishes came out. Both plates had enough food to feed an extra couple at the table. The flavor is sooooo authentic and savory yummy. I dug four huge forkfuls of Drunken Noodle into my mouth before it hit me. This place cooks with authentic chilis, not the kind you get at a fast food Thai place that claims it is hot and on the first bite your tongue burns and then fizzles. No. This place has what you need. My mouth was sizzling and my husband turned red and was sweating from the heat of these drunken noodles. He was grateful the chef rightfully guessed he would like his meal "mild flame". The only reason I didn't finish my plate was because it was soooooo hot. But I LOVED it. We will definitely be back there! Likely tomorrow for more 🥰 Thai Cafe - can't wait to see you...

This is the only decent Thai restaurant in Livingston County. There's a great selection of dishes to choose from, but the space is unappealing and the service is often lacking in both speed and quality, so we generally prefer take out from this place.

The food is good and their sauces are all made in-house with fresh ingredients. I love their soups and appetizers, especially the fresh rolls. The entrees are huge portions (enough for two meals) and they're tasty, but the spicing is inconsistent. I usually order mine mild+, and my husband always orders his hot. Unfortunately, mine has frequently come out just as spicy as his (or even spicier!), and they will not remake an order unless you had asked for no spice at all.

I don't understand why they close so early, especially on weekends. Even worse is that, while their closing time is technically 8:30pm, no one answers the phone after 7:45, and they will send you away if you arrive in person after this time. They have also refused to take walk-in orders to go after 8:00 on many occasions.

If you don't want to travel to Ann Arbor for great Thai food, this place is a good choice. Go with take out, spice down, and arrive early.

One last tip: when ordering to go, your food will be hotter than the surface of the sun, so if you're ordering an entree with noodles to go, ask them to put the noodles on the side. If you don't, the noodles will continue to cook in the entree and you'll end up with a sticky brick o' starch by the time you get to your...

Very dissatisfied. The quality of food is decent, but the customer service is subpar. Probably shouldn't have expected much, but nonetheless, I expect better care. I ordered a take-out dish & was asked how spicy I wanted it. Told him I didn't want it too spicy, but a little heat. He recommended "medium" & said it was "pretty hot already". That was a gross understatement. The dish was ungodly hot. I love spicy food, my wife is from Taiwan. I eat spicy food all the time. This was way off the charts! Anyways, called to reorder at a lighter level. I could not consume the dish as was. Here is where their lack of customer service came into play. I had to repay for the new dish. Spent nearly $30 (even tipped them on the first order...for carryout), & they couldn't even offer me the new dish in place of the previous one. Rookie customer service mistake. I will no longer go there, which is a shame, because it is the only Thai food around (not great, but not bad). I will probably warn people away from now on as well. I suggest you update your customer service policies. It may help you from losing your business...

This place used to be my top for Thai food. Very tasty and affordable, so I thought. Just today I dined in to treat my daughter and myself, and get my son carryout. Build Your Own says $11.95 so when I got my bill at $46, I was surprised. I guess they charge $13 something now in addition to 5% “card fee”. On top of that, my daughter was trying to show me something on her phone then all of a sudden a lady decided to sit right behind me, (lots of open chairs), who looked like she worked there and started playing her phone as loud as it could go. So much where it hurt my ears (and I like listening to loud music). I couldn’t even hear what I was supposed to be listening to. So I asked her to turn it down please, and she made it obvious she was upset, like a child almost... I don’t feel comfortable dining here again because customer service isn’t what it used to be and the atmosphere was pretty cold. Although, I’ll call and order carryout again in the future I’m sure, as the food you can see here is decent quality. Nice chunks of veggies👍

The place is a bit run down but the food makes up for the lack of decorum. The seating was dated but functional. Our waiter was good at getting our food out but the interaction was minimal. Not unpleasant but just very business wise. The food was good and was enough to make you full, so I don’t know how much more you could ask. I asked for no green pepper with my chicken and peanut curry dish and they graciously added green beans to the plate. The flavor was good and the chicken was tender and plentiful. I ordered the pork spring roll and kind of regretted not getting the vegetable spring roll. I am not sure I would go back but it’s worth a try if you’re craving some Thai while in the area.
