The Smoke Doctor — Restaurant in Howell

I would like to comment on the food but in two trips there we never got to try it. On the first trip it was near closing time and they were out of all of their meat so we didn't stay. Seeing that it was close to closing we understood no issue. Last night we were trying to get an order to go. We tried calling 10 times with no answer only a message they were busy or unavailable. So we went there to place a to go order. Sat at the bar placed our order. There were only 4 tables occupied with 5 people at the bar. One more table came in while we waited. After 35 minutes of waiting we asked a waitress to check on our order. She never gave us an answer even though she walked past us several times. Finally we asked the bartender to check. She came back and said they were packaging our order. Finally after just over 40 mins they brought the order out. We couldn't understand the delay with the place not being busy so we checked our order. Three of our four orders were wrong. Two cobb salads were supposed to have pulled chicken they had grilled chicken instead. On the third item one of the sides were wrong. This was after we had the bartender repeat to us the order before she placed it. Also the sides are very small. When we pointed out the problem with the order two employees and the owner just stood there looking at us. They didn't offer to fix it or anything. Finally we said forget it and paid for our drinks and left. We will not be back. We hope others have a better experience. We notice a few comments on other negative reviews suggesting the people were from his competition. We have no association to any food service...

Was excited for this place to open We ordered all his items on the menu First of this place SIDE ITEMS ARE WAY TOO SMALL YOU BETTER OFF JUST MAKING YOURSELF His Mac and cheese tastes no different Collard noting special Just make your own Quarter chicken was smoked perfectly, Fall off the bone Ribs was ok but needed more seasoning, my opinion Brisket burger and pull pork burger was also good, too Homemade mashed was ok, but needed more cheese flavor but to small I love supporting local business, but u want Generous portion is not here They are not bad it decent Ribs need to be seasoned more Pull pork burger was great, Side items come smaller than other places Brisket was ok Quarter chicken was good But that it For the price and portion, it's not here Bummer to live like half mile down Small eater or small family, yes it for you Don't know how to bbq yes it for your Too lazy to bbq yes it for you It is not bad. The price to portion it is not good Spend 100 bucks at this place. You won't get much Prime bbq in milford I spend 100 bucks, and the portion is huge Eat at least 3 days The food was ok. I thought I'll be like other bbq places Big portion great prices but not here You want the best bbq just to drive further out of Howell Was so excited now it just ok This place food tastes good because some people can't bbq or too lazy to bbq AND YES, I CAN BBQ AT HOME JUST TO LAZY...

We have been waiting for a good bbq place to open up in Howell for a while… we were excited it was The Smoke Doctor!! We have had their food via Carry out before and loved it! We dined in today for an early dinner and right away we were greeted excitedly, we were told all the good choices to make by the waiter. Our waiter was super friendly and talkative, he answered all our questions. We got our food quick! Let me just tell you how delicious it was!! We tried all the meats, and everything has so much flavor and was super juicy. The best pulled pork and chicken I have had so far! The brisket was so good and tender, and the Mac n cheese is super creamy! If you know anything about bbq and how it should be, then you will love this place! The owner came out to introduce himself and chat for a bit, he told us how he would be adding to the menu soon, and I can’t wait to try everything they have to offer. Very chill atmosphere… we enjoyed ourselves. I would and have recommend this place! Great price for all you get and...
