I’m not one to try and ruin a local owned business, but I must tell the truth. I started working for this company back in December. To start off it seemed wonderful. A full time job 40 hours a week promised and after 2 months a pay wage of $15.00 an hour, what could go wrong?
I’ve worked for numerous amounts of companies dealing with the same aspects of a business when it comes to tips and daily tasks. Soon to find out that former employees had the same issues I was having. Hours being cut, and tips being stolen right from under us. I’ve kept track of credit card tips and cash tips since I started working there and I’m shorted from my tip share hundreds of dollars. Not only that but I was told after a couple weeks of working there that I would not be being paid $15 an hour because they can’t afford it.
Just last week A previous employer that had quit about a month ago because they were being treated poorly, told me that she was being paid $15 an hour the entire time and they had told her not to tell me. Mind you, she was working 3 days a week and a lot less harder than I was.
I was hired and as an assistant manager working 40 hours a week, with the most responsibility. Opening daily, taking inventory of everything. And basically running their coffee shop because the owners are never there. After finding out about this information I had told them that if they didn’t pay me my $15 an hour because I had worked there longer than two months they could expect me not to show up.
They continue to lie to my face and say that the former employee was never paid $15 an hour when I had proof of the paycheck and sent it to them with the wage.
Overall I highly suggest not to support their business. Or work for them. Highly...
Read moreThe service was okay and the place is very nice inside and out. The prices are not at all equivalent to what you actually get in return. We paid $10 for a “breakfast burrito” that was more like 2 snack wraps from McDonald’s that was made in the microwave. The bacon egg and cheese wrap was $11 and even more disappointing as it was in a quesadilla style wrap with a large rectangle “egg” patty that slid out of the wrap as soon as I picked it up. Also microwaved and had three pieces of small bacon that was just crumpled into one corner of the thing. The WORST part was the lids for the coffee that was actually decent, however as soon as my boyfriend picked up his sippy lid that came with his drink, to take a sip.. the lid BROKE and spilled all over the car. Then I grab my cup out of the cup holder which had a dome lid that didn’t fit and the entire thing spilled. Worst...
Read moreI do not leave bad reviews unjustly! I’d give it less. My daughter and I love coffee shops. We were excited to go here for advertised baked fresh daily pastries, and received ice cold and hard as a rock cinnamon roll and carrot cake muffin. We love breakfast burritos and for 7.50e; we thought this will be amazing! Nope it was tiny with dehydrated shredded hash browns, gray sausage, and minced wet egg mixture possible from a carton?! No cheese. Picture will be below. Two cold brews. The lavender was literally essential oils it was gross. The total was 52 dollars!!! SO DISAPPOINTED! I wish I’d went to Starbucks. Some good coffee places to try: the branch street in boardman. You me oui Canfield. Locally NOVA COFFEE!!!...
