
Very disappointing experience I’ve been to Buck’s Cup of Joe a couple of times now, and both times the OWNER herself has been extremely rude. My most recent visit was the last straw. My card was locked at first, so it declined twice, but on the third try it said the payment went through. When I showed the owner the confirmation, she came to the window loudly insisting they didn’t receive the payment and wouldn’t even let me finish explaining.
I tried to stay calm and told her there was no need for an attitude — I was just showing proof of payment. She kept arguing and was honestly very unprofessional. Then she walked off and yelled from the back, saying someone else had “blessed” us and paid for the coffee — but in a way that felt more sarcastic than kind. The whole thing was uncomfortable and unnecessary.
Between the rude attitude and overpriced coffee that’s honestly not even that good, I won’t be back. Customer service starts at the top, and when the owner treats people this way, it says a lot about...

Not only is the location more charming, comfortable and less crowded as the other coffee shops in town, but the menu has many more options than other places. They also serve delicious breakfast food and cinnamon rolls.
The owners are friendly and the Wi-Fi is sufficient to conduct business here.
Finally a thousand times to one I'd rather give my money to a local small business owner than to a big cheesy coffee chain...

The exterior looks like any other storefront in Texas but the inside is cozy and welcoming. In line with my tradition of trying new coffee locations, I got a Dirty Chai Latte with Oatmilk. The chai leaned more toward the spice side of the chai spectrum over the sweet and didn’t taste homemade. The service was alright, not amazing. All-in-all I would definitely recommend...
