Riip Beer & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

I left dreaming of the next time I get to eat this pizza! Is the wait time long especially on the weekend? Heck yes it is. Is it worth it? Yes it is. We came on a Sunday night after a long day at the beach and sick of the food near the hotel. Located in an unassuming shopping center it’s tucked away towards the back. We drove in to a packed parking lot. Walking in we were greeted with a packed house. The tables and bar were full to the brim. We were greeted within minutes and told it would be atleast a 30 minute wait and the kitchen closes at 9. It was 8pm, but we took the chance and waited hoping someone would call us sooner and it happened. It did take a bit for our server to come over, but again it was BUSY! Once she took our drink order she gave us a minute to look over the menu. We decided on pepperoni and hot wings. When I tell you how amazing that pizza looked when it came out it would be an understatement. Perfection. Crust crispy, but not burnt. Hands down the best pepperoni I’ve had and that cheese port gooey and delicious. Everything was devoured so fast. Hot wings were great and just the right amount of kick! Our server was wonderful and when one of our beers was forgotten it was removed from the tab after coming out so late and near the end of our dinner. Always worth the wait! The food is homemade and it tastes like it, from the crust on the pizza that takes days to rise to the homemade, hand crafted salads and dressings. Every bite g we've had is delicious and we are never disappointed. Their beer that they brew is excellent, top notch. Even their seltzer is delicious and clean tasting. We love going to eat here. Our daughters love the video games that are here too. Tonight, my 7 year old daughter accidentally knocked the entire pizza onto the floor. She was so embarrassed that she hid her face into my chest for over an hour. The RIIP staff didn't even hesitate. They instantly ordered another pizza to be fired for our family at no extra charge. They also gave my daughter a small sample of ice cream to help ease her embarrassment and multiple servers came by to tell her that it was ok and that it wasn't her fault and that it happens. My daughter finally came out of her embarrassment to eat her pizza, but it was only because of the kindness and ice cream from the staff. Then later, when we were finished with our food and drinks, my daughter was surprised with an ice cream sundae on the house. So awesome! Above and beyond. I got a blonde ale, hubby got a Dank...? IPA that was great! apparently it won awards. The aroma is citrus and floral which was fantastic. So we got the round pizza, it's HUGE. thin crust which we like. It was super good but, I gotta say, definitely more salty than we were use too but, it was probably on us. The combo of pepperoni, which they do not jip you on, and Mediterranean olives tasted good but can be a bit salty because of it. Still great with beer tho! Next time will have to go a lighter pizza route. Good base tho!!

The constant changing beer menu and the table and chairs... only gripes.

The beer list changes often which serious be good if they at least kept types of beer available, brands- sure change up, but not everyone loves only IPAs. Sometimes they have ones I like and sometimes the list is pretty heavy of just IPAs, husband fine with it but I like other beer styles and they're hit and miss beer-wise for me.

The benches are stationary, the table moves but the benches are kinda far from the table. So if you move the table towards you than it's further away from the person on the other side. Not a huge deal but pretty uncomfortable after awhile cuz the bench seat is hard and cuts into your thigh lol again not a big deal but enough to say meh, I don't need to drive...
