Sullivan Restaurant — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

We had high hopes for this restaurant. We ordered the Hot and Sour soup - the chicken was rubbery and tasteless, the tofu had no taste, the shrimp I didn’t even dare try. The broth itself was okay.

We also ordered General Tso’s Chicken which was not spicy and the chicken was very mushy and not crispy, and we ended up throwing it away after only a few bites. We just could not stomach it unfortunately.

On a positive note the white rice was perfect and the meal was ready and on time for pick up but that does not excuse the poor quality and taste of the food itself. Of course you are welcome to try it, however I recommend that you do not waste your hard earned money on this poorly executed and quite pricey Chinese food.

I use to live in New York, and the chinese food from there is delicious, when I moved here I found this restaurant through Google, And when I saw the menu I thought that what I see looks similar to New York chinese food and I tried and was good but that is like 10 years ago. Now the food is not good anymore I ordered some food yesterday for delivery I ordered house special Lo mein that was supposed to have pork, beef, chicken shrimps and have nothing no shrimps no pork just beef and chicken and that's no good because the price is $15.00 for a plate and also the taste of the food is not good anymore so disappointed about this place, I don't recommend this place to...

I don't understand the good reviews - got sesame chicken for takeout and it was so awful I assumed there was some kind of mistake, so for the first time in my life I took my takeout back to the restaurant. I asked for pork fried rice instead and it's at least edible, but perhaps the worst I've had from a restaurant. I love Chinese food and get it regularly as an indulgence, but this was just a big disappointment. And it's pricey: $18 for fried rice? Or $18 for a chicken dish but it comes with nothing but the chicken - no rice and not even any broccoli or peppers or anything in it. Definitely will...
