Surf City Beach Cottages — Local services in Huntington Beach

Great location and I had resisted any poor reviews prior to moving in assuming. Despite the lack of visitors parking available as most use the spots as second permanent resident parking spots, unfortunately during my stay I've become very disappointed with management, several instances concerning safety have occurred. Several instances of my door knob simply falling off out of nowhere occurred leaving a hole in my door, which management did not see this as a safety issue each time this was brought to their attention. This morning I was told that having a hole in my door was not a safety concern and the handy man would be by sometime tomorrow between 8am - 5pm to fix it. Why was this not fixed properly after the first occurrence and how am I to leave my home like this while I am at work? Furthermore, instances of strangers moving my shed right up to the balcony was also not addressed in any way my management nor was there any concern. Strangers leaving random notes leaving phone numbers on my car were also again of no of concern with management. While the inside of my rented mobile home is nice, I'm disappointed in the way management has deal with such issues. Every rental community has pros and cons, I would expect safety issues to be prioritized. I will be moving out prior to my lease being expired for these reasons. I hope future residents will receive better service for this luxury rent being charged by this management company. I'll keep you guys updated on how much of my deposit I get back after hiring my own carpet cleaning professional and professional to clean the place the entire prior to my move out...

Great location, onsite manager, and caring community. However, it's becoming less of a mobile home park and more of an expensive beach cottage park. Many long-term mobile home owners were and are still being forced out by high space rent and increases. Sadly, many of their homes are being absorbed by the park owner, then converted to park-owned trailer and space rentals or removed and replaced with prefabricated beach cottage rental units, all of which could be easier to evict and remove if a more profitable use becomes feasible. It's still a nice place to live close to the beach if you can afford it, but a backup plan...

Star, the new management company, has unabashedly decided to enforce it's policy of allowing only wealthy, single-car, no guests, no children, conformist, quite residents who enjoy sadistically being singled-out and forced to continually evolve to bolster management's maniacal, egotistic, money grubbing, power-tripping minds to be granted continued residency.
