Sweet Lou's BBQ Shack — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

We had an early dinner tonight at Sweet Lou’s BBQ Restaurant the seating was on the their patio They have a nice patio space with umbrellas it has a cool vibe they have two picnic tables and one long table with nice umbrellas. The picnic tables were clean and comfortable . They also had little wood boxes with napkins silverware on the table, which was convenient because eating barbecue you’ll need extra napkins.. The food was delicious I had a pulled pork sandwich the bread was soft and fresh the meat was perfectly seasoned Just a hint of barbecue sauce just like I like it, their coleslaw was also delicious but my favorite was the little corn bread. This is the best BBQ around! We have gotten catering before & I am so happy that they now have a restaraunt! Just like any BBQ joint around, don't wait too long or the meat runs out!! We love their brisket & pork, but the turkey is also delicious! The sauce brings everything together & the sides are flavorful. We got the potato salad, mac salad & then a piece of the honey butter and the jalapeno cornbread. My son inhaled his pulled pork sandwich. My husband got the brisket with the sausage & turkey & he really enjoyed it. The slaw was insanely good, too! Just everything! Cannot wait til next time! Support small business & don't forget...

1st time visors. Nice local small business. Been open 4 months since June 18th. Sweet Lou even came out on the patio to sit with the family and talk about the business. Definitely don't wait til the end of the day to come and order. I came by last night to find a sign out front that they were sold out so I returned with my family tonight. I gave a 4 star on atmosphere only because it is such a small location that seating is on a back patio with no indoor seating if there is any inclement or colder weather.
