Growing up in Houston, Kolaches were a staple & Kolache Factory was the place to get them! My family moved to Vegas almost 9 years ago and one of things we missed most were kolaches. After a Google search showed us a Tustin location several years ago, we stopped by on our way to Newport Beach and ordered several dozen - which were as wonderful as we remembered. Fast forward several years, and we discovered a NEW location in Huntington Beach - much to our delight, as we love to see one of our favorite places expanding! Upon realizing we had a friend who drives to and from Huntington Beach regularly, we practically begged him to stop and grab some for us to help us with long overdue kolache cravings. We placed the order online overnight, which was a piece of cake! We ended up having to call and change around our arrival time and Shyanne (or Cheyenne, I definitely should've asked her how to spell it, she was SO sweet!) was so helpful and accommodating and worked with us without question! She was so friendly and made our experience extra special! She even offered us a couple of complimentary pastries as a treat when we mentioned our long history of being Kolache Factory fans! She really just went above and beyond, and we were so grateful for her. And about the kolaches themselves.... ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY! I mean truly scrumptious, and honestly better then we remembered- if you can imagine! The spicy polish kolaches, a personal favorite, were HUGE!! And mouthwatering! As were the ham & swiss, and the sausage & cheese - all incredible! We also let a few friends try them, and the overwhelming consensus was that these were AMAZING and we need a location here in the Valley because Vegas is missing out! 5 well deserved stars for this location, impeccable food and service! Thank you for the huge smile on this Texas...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem in Huntington Beach. Located in a tiny strip center at the southeast corner of Bolsa and Edwards, it serves up some of the most delicious treats around. A 'kolache' is a slightly sweet bread roll filled with sweet or savory fillings. They are perfect for parties or grab-n-go meals....no mess and no utensils needed. Their fillings are amazing...the BBQ brisket and Italian chicken are my two favorites, and the pepperoni pizza is sure to please the kiddos. The traditional sweet kolaches are wonderful- peach and apple are my favorites. The breakfast egg kolaches are way better than fast-food breakfast biscuits, too. Two of these fill you up quick! Ordering online is easy and their service is always prompt. The only downside is they are only open until 2pm, so order early and have them later. A quick 30-second heat in the microwave. The trays are absolutely perfect for parties. My family and friends love their food...I wish there was a location closer to downtown!! Give them a try...you won't be sorry! In fact,...
Read moreI was wanting to try a new place and I drive past this everyday on the way to and from work. I had no idea what a Kolche was so I was unsure what to order. So what is a Kolache? A kolach is a type of sweet pastry that holds a portion of fruit surrounded by puffy dough, or it could also include an egg and meat type of filling.
I am more of a savory person for breakfast but I did try the Cream Cheese Kolache. It was not as sweet as a cheese danish, which for me is perfect.
My favorite was the Jalapeno Popper. It was oozing with cream cheese and had just enough spice to be delicious.
I also purchased chorizo, sausage and egg and ranchero. No, I did not eat all of these by myself. I brought them to work, cut them in half and shared with my coworkers.
The cashier asked if I wanted them warmed up, which I did. They are delicious little breakfast delights. I will be stopping by more often to try the other...
