Captain D's — Restaurant in Huntington

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Wanted to order 10 pieces of fish not the meal, just the fish because their sides are always horrible. She says they don't sell that and would have to charge me for 10 individual pieces at 3.09 each. Thats over $30 for just fish so I go ahead and order the meal. (Big sign that says 27.99 for 10 piece meal) tell her to please make fries well done. She says we drop them for every order. Ok???? So I said well done please again. Get to window she charges me 29.99 plus tax for the meal. I tell her the sign says 27.99 on the drive through menu board. She says, "Well I didn't make the sign". Yikes. Get home and of course the fries aren't even close to being done let alone well done. Looks like they dropped them in grease and pulled them right back up. Fish is super soggy. Pulled us up and waited 23 minutes for $32 worth of food that is inedible. Will not be back. Ever. So I decided to grab a couple Giant Spicy sandwiches for myself and the wife. I went through the drive-thru, thinking it would save some time. Wrong! They asked me to pull up by the front door, and they would bring out the sandwiches when they were ready. Well, after sitting there watching other cars come and go for 20 minutes. I decided to go in and see what was up with my order. The girl up front called back to the person in the kitchen on her headset. She told me that she was waiting on my 2nd sandwich, which would be up shortly. Now I've worked in plenty of restaurants (even owned my own pub) and I couldn't understand why the fish for both sandwiches was not dropped at the same time! I finally got my food, and it was great, but they really need to work on that timing. I hate to think how long I would have sat at the front door if I hadn't gone in to check. Captain D will make you many different kinds of food from the ocean as well as lakes and rivers too I believe. They have a big light up board that hangs off of the roof that has photos of all of the things that they can cook for you. I have wanted to eat many of the things that I saw on the board there but I never could because I don't know where to find them or how to catch them. I don't even have a boat. I tried eating fish from the river but they tasted sour and my toenails fell out. I never know what part of the water is good to eat. I also don't like when the fish look at you because they don't have eyelids and you don't have to worry about that here because they cover them with stiff bread.
