The food we got today was and always has been excellent! My problem was the service which up until today has also been very good! This is Super Bowl Sunday. My husband and I drove by yesterday around noon and saw on the sign the ad for the chicken wing special and decided to stop and order some. We went in and the young lady working yesterday asked how many wings we wanted and what flavor. My husband told her 40 and nothing else was said! I noticed a sign on the back wall that was advertising a special that basically said order a biscuit with a piece of chicken and get a free glass of tea for seniors over 62. I was hungry and lover your tea so I ordered a chicken breast and biscuit. I asked for the free glass of tea only to be told this was a breakfast special only! NOWHERE on this sign does it say a word about this only being a breakfast special....so this sign is a false advertisement! As it reads anyone over the age of 62 should able to walk in there anytime of day and get a free glass of tea (or cup of coffee) with any piece of chicken and biscuit! We told the cashier we would be back at 2:00 today to pick our order up.
That was yesterday! Today we went in a few minutes after two to get our order. The cashier, Bianca was not at the cash register. She was, in fact over by the drive through window taking with some of the other people who work there! We stood there for probably about three minutes so my husband knocked his knuckles on the countertop and asked out loud if anyone was working? She came on over to take our order. We told her we were there to pick up our order we placed yesterday. She looked at us like we had just dropped in from Mats! My husband told her the name the order was in. She then asked us what we ordered. he told her wings. She asked how many and what kind. He was getting very impatient with her and asked her if she couldn't look the order up and she told him "no". He finally told her "40" in a loud voice and she said "HUH?" The man who had walked in behind us then told her "40" in an even louder voice! Finally, a long man named James whom I am suspecting is the shift manager came over and asked for the name on the order. he looked it up and rang it up for us whence we paid. My husband moved on down the line to wait for the order and a black man with long black dreads came over to my husband and threatened him and told my husband he had better not ever talk to his sister that way again! My husband is a veteran with 44.5 years of active duty and just recently came back from Iraq and Afghanistan and CAN take care of himself...still. He told this "brother" he was picking a fight with the wrong man. The manager came over with our order and asked what kind of sauce we wanted then got it and we left. As we were going out to get into our vehicle the "black brother" followed us outside and said something else about if we didn't like it there for us to not come back! So we have a friend who owns all the local KFC franchises in this area and can just go there from now own and continue to get free food that is just as good. Just so you know I am also a retired military veteran! We don't need this type of attitude from your employees and will be sure to spread the word around the military installation here and the other places we frequent! Besides this, with both of us being seniors we are blessed to not be on a fixed income and can eat anywhere we choose! We won't darken your restaurants...
Read moreI came in last night and tried to order a 12pc hot wing. The cashier, whose name was Taya, told me I could only get them in increments of 8. I said that the sign said 50 cent wings and she told me that they only do portions of 8. So i said "Fine, just give me 8 then." I then asked her for a large senior tea and she said the large is $1. I told her that I said senior and she said the senior is small and it is 59 cents since I didnt order a biscuit. I then asked another employee to get me a large senior tea and refused to do so. So I THEN had to speak to a manager by the name os Curtis, who finally got me taken care of. He gave me my 12 wings and my large drink and apologized for the situation. I told him that he needed to have a talk to his cashier about customer service and to fix her attitude. Then the lady came back and yelled "Well the senior drink is a small, so yeah" then rolled her eyes and walked away. The manager then told her to step into the office and refused to do so. I actually feel sorry that he has to deal with that woman. If it wasn't for that man this would be a 1 star review, 0 star if I could make it. And everyone else that was working there was just goofing off the whole entire time. That cashier...
Read moreBojangles could be great but instead it is just mediocre. The boneless chicken needs alot of help. It is dry and about the same quality as you would have in a frozen bag of chicken at the supermarket. The seasoning is either almost non-existent or over seasoned. In regards to sides they are average in quality, but not nearly as good as they could be. One positive note is that their biscuits are fluffy and large and I like that there are several cajun side choices. The ticket system they were using was malfunctioning and the crew was unable to keep track of their orders easily. Instead of a diet drink I ordered, I recieved a sweet tea, immediately after being asked to confirm that it was a diet Pepsi by the drive-through operator. This is the second or third time to ever eat at Bojangles and I must say that corporate needs to look carefully at their menu and actually eat at some of the Bojangles, preferably with no warning that they are coming, to see what I mean. Bojangles corporate needs to sample Popeyes menu and try the cajun dishes there to understand the difference in quality, especially for the chicken and sides. If improvements are made, I will raise the...
