Waffle House — Restaurant in Huntsville

Well I live in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for a quick bite to eat. As I ordered my food I notice the young lady wasn't friendly nor really engaging with me as all. She took my order and left never sat the condiments down that I would need to go with my food so I ordered eggs sausage bacon hasbrowns and waffles .so the guy was cooking my meal and she gave me my jashrowns eggs and bacon first and walked off now I'm used to all my food coming at once when I order. So I asked the lady wheres my sausage and waffles? She replied its coming waited she brought me waffles no sausage now at this point I'm sitting by the cook I see him put sausage on but I never got them as I got to the end of my good I said nevermind the sausage and my waffle is burnt. She said ok and stii brought me a check for 13.50 minus the sausage. As I was eating six caucasian men walked in and they hurried over there and this older heavy set lady came outta nowhere and ran to help them but when I was sitting trying to get someone attention for a straw she look at me with a nasty disposition.At that point I was done I asked for a manager explained how my food was brought out in portions burnt and I watched the cook give my sausage away to the gentleman acrossfron me and made me wait for another order .The manager was nice he even offered to cook my food again I said thanks but this experience was a lot and not pleasant I own a restaurant myself and he did take the waffles off.So as I go to pay for my meal the heavy set woman comes over to the young girl and say that's ok, its alright that's why I came up front as if I did something to this girl so my reply was not its not alright I served my country for 22 years and I get treated like I'm beaneth you all here and I own a restaurant myself. I should be told its alright clearly the victim to a blk man mentality came about this was a very stressful turnout just to get some breakfast very horrible experience we still racist or prejudice in 2024 wow reality check what job still don't interview these people and really see how they fell about other ethnicities wow I wont ever eat...

ALERT TIME WASTERS

I applied for a position here and was contacted by a recruiter, I passed that interview according to the district managers… I go for another interview after being offered a supervisor position only to be met with what I can only describe as hostility by the manager on shift named Terrence peoples. Terrence asked me my name and my number before going into a spiel about how he had one position for nighttime supervisor available asking me if I would take that I said yes that’s fine and then he wanted to go even lower and asked me if I would be a waitress I explained to him that that’s not what I had applied for nor was that what I was offered, or why I was even at the interview to begin with. I attempted to explain to Terrence my qualifications at which point he told me that that didn’t matter and begin to do this little weird ego thing where he has a bachelors in engineering and he was in the top of his class so he believes that I don’t have what it takes… I don’t have a degree in engineering I have a degree in sociology and the Managing of people… I held my first management job when I went to the Board of Education to get a workers permit at the age of 14… Needless to say, I waited a month and a half to be told that they’ll give me $2.50 an hour because that’s where everybody starts no matter what your level of education or experience…

I do have the entire exchange videotaped. If you enjoy having your time, wasted by all means apply. If you enjoy being belittled again, you should apply. Waffle Houses keep the restaurant entirely, way too cold. I've ask several managers why they keep it so cold because as soon as your food comes off the grill or waffle machine and waitress picks up your food is far too cold to eat, each time and this has been over the period of at least 28 years and several of the Waffle Houses ( not all in the town, state I live but every state we've been in) each time I've ask the question, Answer has ALWAYS, ALWAYS been the same answer " Company required to keep it this cold to keep the Coffee drinkers from staying and People eat faster if it is cold " exact same answer in each place, each state and if you are wanting to have breakfast, lunch or dinner with your family at one table you are OUT OF LUCK, unless you find a Waffle House not yet renovated you are going to be spread out over 2 to 3 booths, there's no longer 4 (6 if sit close ) booths that sit more than 2 people per booth. No longer smoking and non-smoking sections either. Prices are too high for the food you are going to eat especially considering you are going to be eating food so cold it's like the cook just took your whole plate out of the refrigerator and serve it to you, eggs are nasty this cold. This is NOT only my opinion, ask anyone who has ate at Waffle House and your going to have my same answer especially about the food and coffee being very cold served to you. The only good thing they have done in the past 10 years has been the change in coffee brands, it's Maxwell house now and not so bitter you can't drink it or doesn't make you sick to your stomach from drinking it,you use to feel like your spoon could stand up by itself it was so...
