El Monte American Restaurant: A Disappointing Experience
El Monte American Restaurant, once a promising dining spot, has unfortunately become synonymous with disappointment. From the moment you step through the door, the experience is marred by a series of frustrations that overshadow any potential culinary delight. The restaurantās atmosphere, service, and overall quality have deteriorated significantly, making it a place to avoid.
Firstly, the ambiance of El Monte American Restaurant is far from welcoming. The lighting is dim and uninviting, giving the entire place a gloomy feel. The decor appears outdated and poorly maintained, with chipped paint and worn-out furniture. The noise level is often unbearable, making it difficult to enjoy a conversation with your dining companions. Overall, the environment fails to create a pleasant dining experience, setting the tone for the rest of the visit.
The most glaring issue, however, lies with the waitstaff. The waiters at El Monte American Restaurant are notoriously inattentive and unprofessional. It is not uncommon to wait an excessive amount of time before being acknowledged or seated. Once seated, the service does not improve. Waiters frequently forget orders, bring the wrong dishes, or fail to check on tables throughout the meal. Their lack of attentiveness and care leaves patrons feeling neglected and frustrated.
Moreover, the quality of the food at El Monte American Restaurant is highly inconsistent. While the menu boasts a variety of American classics, the execution often falls short. Dishes are frequently served cold, overcooked, or under-seasoned. The presentation is lackluster, and the portion sizes are inadequate for the prices charged. This inconsistency in food quality further diminishes the overall dining experience, making it difficult to justify a return visit.
In conclusion, El Monte American Restaurant has unfortunately become a place to avoid due to its numerous shortcomings. The unwelcoming ambiance, inattentive waitstaff, and inconsistent food quality create a disappointing dining experience from start to finish. Until significant improvements are made, it is advisable to seek out other dining options that offer better service and a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEl Monte always used to be our favourite local Mexican restaurant but lately they have really been going backwards. The first time we ordered the āMolcajeteā it was amazing. Moist and tender and full of all the things the menu claimed. Last time they forgot the chorizo and pineapple and the rib and the meat was drier but this time the meat was practically leather! They forgot the pineapple, their chorizo supplier has apparently changed as it resembled ground beef both in flavour and consistency. The nopal (cactus) was served unpeeled still with the spines on it and when I bit into it a long spine pricked my mouth, the entire molcajete was really dried out and unappetising. My sonās $6 quesadilla had barely enough cheese to āglueā the tortilla closed. And my stepsonās āChicken Saladā was horrendous! The āsaladā consisted of completely raw carrot chunks, completely raw broccoli and raw zucchini with a thin chicken filet on top. It was utterly revolting. To add insult to injury we waited until two tables seated AFTER us who ordered AFTER us were served their food first. Our children received their food enough time in advance to completely finish eating before we received our meal. When we complained about biting into cactus complete with thorns and prickles we were given a $5 discount. My mouth still hurts because the prickles on a cactus are tiny and cannot be removed. If youāve ever accidentally touched one you know why Iām talking about and can imagine EATING one! I seriously doubt, given the past few disappointing times that we will return as the food isnāt cheap and at that price range there are certain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was always very happy with the food and service at this restaurant. Tonight we ordered almost $100 worth of food from here to be delivered via grubsouth. I ordered fajitas michaocanas for 2 and paid for extra shrimp, rice, and sour cream, and asked for no lettuce, guacamole, or beans. There was no extra rice or sour cream and there was lettuce in both the side salads for the fajitas. There were 10 shrimp total in a double order. I always order the single and have five shrimp in a single order. The manager was unbothered and unwilling to work with grubsouth. Upon advice of the grubsouth agent I called to speak with the manager of the restaurant. I was very polite and explained the situation and said we commonly order close to $100 worth of food and that we wouldn't be coming back because of the service on this issue that should have been a simple and inexpensive fix on his end. Instead of apologizing or showing any remorse, he almost seemed happy. Granted, had I been being rude or exceptionally difficult, this would be understandable. I have worked in customer service for many many years in a supervisory role. This manager completely missed the mark on any type of acceptable customer service. I know we are in hard times with the virus stuff, but that is all the more reason to take care of good customers that frequently spend a lot of money with you. Very unfortunate, but we will be taking our business to La Fuente or El Mariachi from...
