My experience dinning in and taking out.
As I sat to finish studies, the sunset approached. I relaxed on the patio to enjoy a glass of wine. A kind young girl taking my request , she explained to me she did not have much knowledge about wine to choose from. I laughed knowing the innocence we miss out on through age. She continued to find the red wines in the restaurant, even bringing a snap shot on her phone of the brands carried.
A red wine.
Finishing my research I reviewed a poster that sat in front of the restaurant. The label read “Voice Of The Voiceless” supporting the elderly who are abused and neglected. As an advocate in health care, this is what made my experience full circle. In the moment I’m reading the flyer. A man who I’ve seen in the area before - Goes by Tom - is using a walker to get into his car. He is handicap, yet very resourceful.
I ask Tom if he needed any help, he was grateful yet enjoyed doing things on his own.
Back at my table I realize there sat a dog bowl. I contemplated bringing my dog to the patio - I knew I couldn’t enjoy my meal after a long shift without the company. The young lady comes for my order as I’m writing ideas to support the. As a nutritionist I’m cautious of everything I put into the body - yet do believe a meal that is prepared for you by others can nourish. So I ask the girl a suggestion on the menu. She replied “ The burger sliders are my absolute favorite”
I’m headed home with a bag of sliders. Same thing - enjoying on my patio. I ordered a burger slider & a chicken slider. Oh and a side of honey mustard for the fries.
So I put my dogs nose to the test as we get excited for the taste. I allow him to smell of the chicken and of the beef. Curious to see what he prefers. We enjoyed a French Fry. So crispy, I love the texture.
Took a bite of one slider at a time to gain taste of the meal. I take the small pieces for my dog and hold them up to see if he can focus to pick a favorite.
All fun at this point. He enjoyed the burger slider, as well as myself. Chicken is a weird meat to me, sometimes I rather it boiled. But the flavor settled fine.
The pickle added must be the simple yet key ingredient.
My night turned pleasant as the food filled my stomach. I smiled knowing my body would nourish in all the ways needed, and today I woke up feeling fine.
Moral of the story. -Food is always going to react differently in each person. Taste , smell, texture, appearance. -Always ask to be assistant if you see someone of need. be grateful to enjoy the smallest things throughout community. -my dog likes burgers :-)
The importance is directed to who creates the meal. So thank you for the team at Tailgaters for a lovely evening to distress the mind & enjoy a pleasant scenery. And supporting local communities, as well as promoting the issues in elders. May we all find peace and continue to direct all generations toward simplicity & generosity.
Keep Happy, Baylee...
Read moreOkay , so let me start off by saying, I stopped coming here, because of bad service and I am about to stop again, I only came here anyway because it was convenient, I didn’t want to write this review, but after today, I had too, I get the same thing every time, and every time it’s hit or miss, the first time I placed my order , my food was made to perfection, the next couple times, not so much! The last time which was today… idk what they did over my food besides play in it. Smh!! It was not what I ordered, and when I called , the guy that answered the phone, did not offer to fix it, he offered to give me some extra hot sauce, when I’m like , this isn't even what I ordered, you know what, don’t even worry about it. This my last time ordering from this place completely. I rather starve. I should have never started going back in the first place, but that’s what I get, giving these restaurants a second chance !!! My order was completely wrong, and they didn’t even have the decency to close my food container up all the way, it was given to my wide open, I just walked out, because I feel like people be knowing what they be doing , they just don’t be caring, and the way my temper set up, I just politely walked out!!! The police be at this place enough!!! So to keep myself from seeming like one of those customers, ( which i most certainly am!) I walked out and said to myself, this my last time ordering from this place, because if I give money for my food, I expect my food/ order to be done right! Idc about the service, all I care about is my order done correctly and my food being properly served to me! I’m at a point in my life where I am quietly leaving these restaurants but I am LOUDLY LEAVING REVIEWS!!! It doesn’t make any sense! It’s given cook at home , and pack my lunch atp!!! Also let me add this, Brian did offer to help me before, and replace my meal to make sure it was done right, and he was one of the reasons why I came here again, to get lunch! Other than that, everything else still...
Read moreSo I was driving down Winchester road this evening when suddenly I had the craving for wings. I looked to my left and saw a place called Tailgaters. So I thought why not. I pulled in and was met by the garage door front that intrigued me. Seeing as this was beginning of February, I felt this was a feature to be looked into at a later date. Once I walked inside I was met with a well lit and warm and inviting sports bar restaurant. I was immediately greeted by a young lady who asked me if I would like a table I politely declined and made my way to the bar. I sat down to see the massive movie screen of a tv behind the bar and thought to myself “this will rock when It is football season”, but enjoyed watching the ESPN and SEC networks. I looked around and took in my surroundings. It was classy and well done with a mixture of Alabama(Roll Tide) and Auburn(War Eagle) memorabilia. TVs line the walls showing spectacular sporting programs. I was thoroughly excited about the Jack Daniels corner as I am an avid lover of fine Tennessee Whiskey. My bartender brought me a menu and I was amazed at the selections of beer and various food. I settled for the wings(hot) and a draft beer. I sat and sipped my beer and listened to the family friendly atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of contact from the staff who checked on me repeatedly. The food was quick and when I bit into the wing it was like an euphoric experience. The food was perfectly cooked and the sauce was just right. I never had to ask for anything. It was all immediately taken care of before I even knew I needed it. I left today with a newfound respect for small family owned restaurants. I implore all who are interested in this place to check them out at your earliest convenience. Even though it is new they are striving to be top notch. I’m looking forward to warmer weather and trying out the patio for...
