My family and I went here to get some sushi and their house fried rice. I decided to order a udon noodle soup because it was recommended to me. The first red flag was that they had their son at the restaurant running back and forth. It took the server 10 minutes before she acknowledged us. We told her that this was our first time there and would like some recommendations. The young lady seemed new and a little confused so we just looked over the menu and placed our order. It took a while for our food to get cooked even though there was only one other couple there. My problem was that every single shrimp I had was not cleaned correctly. When I addressed this the server just apologized and walked away. We ordered some soft drinks and water which the water had a horrible after taste. I was told it was from the faucet 🤮. When my son received his ice tea the server accidentally spilled some on the sushi we ordered. She was ok with this and tried to walk away. I politely asked her to have some more made since I did not want to eat the tea soaked pieces. Our bill was over 60$ and I don’t believe that the service, faucet water or dirty shrimp where worth me ever wanting to go back.

Came here with the family the other night for dinner. While I wasn't expecting a Michelin-star experience, I certainly wasn't expecting what we got. The service was friendly, but the food and overall experience left much to be desired. One of our group ordered unsweetened tea (a cardinal sin in the South, bless their heart) and was brought sweetened tea twice before finally getting the correct drink. When dinner arrived for our party of seven, one order was missing. We had to ask the staff about it and were told there was a kitchen mix-up and the order was being remade. By the time our last member got their food, the rest of us were practically done eating. The food itself was just alright, but the portions were small. The steak and salmon combo platter had seven tiny pieces of steak and a salmon piece that barely weighed an ounce. The fried rice tasted dry, and while the veggies were okay, they didn't stand out. The salmon skin roll, though not typical in appearance, was good, and the gyoza was decent. I feel that if I had only ordered sushi, my experience might have been different, but it's hard to say. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

Bottom line up front: this is a higher priced 3 star restaurant with great ambiance and soso food. My family tried this restaurant on Sunday. The plaza where the restaurant is located is usually packed; when we walked in we were the only ones here (which is kind of telling on a Sunday during post-church rush). The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a good ambiance - it is definitely a nice quiet place to go eat lunch where you can talk or bring a date. Wife ordered two different choices of sushi lunch special and I got the pork katsu. The kids meals (that aren't chicken and fries) are pretty steep ($8-11), so this turned into a more pricey than usual $70+ meal. Miso soup was fine, I thought the pork katsu was a little dry. Wife was distinctly not a fan of the sushi - "the salmon was flavorless and tasted like nothing". Service was good. Waitress was prompt and accurate. Probably will not be a regular restaurant for us at the cost/quality level.

Dined here once and won’t return due to the terrible customer service.

Ordered the seafood donburi ($19) which the menu stated has mushrooms, egg, pickled ginger and pickled cucumber. The dish comes out looking whiter than an Eskimo in the Bahamas (no seasoning whatsoever ever), 4 shrimps, 2 small scallops, and one half shredded stick of faux crab, carrots and green onions.

The dish was extremely bland, and was obviously missing some of the key components. We notified the waitress who then brought over the owner. I informed her that the dish was not good due to lack of seasoning and ingredients. She let me know that they don’t do the mushrooms or pickled ginger or cucumbers anymore. I asked why it was still on the menu and she replied that they just hadn’t switched it out yet. I set the plate to the side of the table and we requested the dish be removed from our bill since it wasn’t edible. I requested another miso soup and ate some of my kids chicken fried rice.

The waitress brought the check where my dish was still listed at 50% discount. When my husband asked why it wasn’t removed the waitress informed us that the owner refused to remove it and only offered half off.

I boxed up the dish and brought it home to re-fry it myself with seasonings. It’s hard to mess up fried rice, but they...
