Jimmy John's brings a great variety and quality to a city already full of sandwich shops. I have tried both of the Huntsville locations, (ok, the other location is probably "officially" in Madison,) and I have found the food and service to be GREAT!!
I was completely overloaded with trying to decide what to order on first trip. The cashier was VERY polite and explained the entire Jimmy John's philosophy and told me some of their most popular choices on the menu. The Italian Night, add hot peppers, is one of the best sandwiches I have eaten, ANYWHERE. I cannot give a review of the other sandwiches, as this is the ONLY sandwich I ever order and I'm in the Airport road store at least twice a week.
I am most impressed with the speed of sandwich assembly. The first time I ordered, they were handing me my order while I was still trying to get my change in my pocket. And they are not just "slapping" the ingredients on the bread. Every sandwich I have ever received has been properly and neatly assembled, unlike other places where your order looks NOTHING like the item pictured on the menu.
I have found the staff to be friendly, efficient, and they seem to take pride in the appearance of their store. As a small business owner, myself, I am impressed with the quality of employees at both of the Huntsville-Metro-Area locations. The store is always neat, and the fountain drink area is always clean and not covered in drink spills and dropped drink lids and straw paper. I have yet to ever spot a full garbage can, either as they appear to constantly monitor their trashcan levels and act accordingly.
Visiting Jimmy John's is one of current favorite eating spots and I'm so glad to have one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat sandwiches, sure. The workers at this location have somehow managed to get my order wrong in a new way nearly every time I've been there; usually its pretty minor, so I've only ever let them know once before. This time, we decided to call because of the error last time, because I wanted to use my gift card; they took the order down wrong and didn't read it back, so I didn't know until well after their driver had left that the order was wrong. Called back, and because the order was as it was heard, nothing can be done. Understandable. But what isn't understandable, is that most of the workers at this location work while high, because the (narcissistic) manager (who acts as if his job title makes him equivalent to a CEO) is so terrible to them. The same guy manages another location, and that one is just as bad. All he wants to do is go home so he can play Apex Legends, and he'll make sure both the employees and customers are well aware of that and how much he hates it there, and then he very openly takes all his frustrations about not being able to play his little games out on those employees. The mistakes the workers make are forgivable, considering who they have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered delivery for $60 worth of food one day and waited an hour with no update until someone finally called and said they āran out of breadā (based on other reviews it looks like they use this excuse a lot) and that they were on the way with our order now. Another hour goes by and we hear nothing from them. We never got our food and eventually had to request a refund.
A week goes by and, thinking that last time was just a fluke, we ordered again. The food got here in a decent amount of time, but we opened the bag to see our entire $50 order (just 2 subs and a side) was wrong. We called to tell them and tried to be as kind as possible, but they seemed incredibly upset that we called at all. We could even hear another staff member complaining that we called in the background. Terrible service, very unprofessional. Would recommend literally any of the other 3 or 4 nearby sandwich shops...
