Food is consistently adequate but had a terrible customer service situation today. We prefer to order ahead since their line can be terrible. Today ordering by the pound was not an option for web orders so we called to place the order. After giving our order the woman told us we should order online. We told her that was not possible. She was very rude and stated repeatedly that we should order in the drive through. We explained we like to order ahead to bypass the line. We asked how we were to proceed at this point if she was taking our order or not. She stated she was but again told us not to order ahead. We tried to give a name for the order but she hung up on us. My grandparents have been going to LawLers for years, once a week, like clockwork. They raved about the food and the service all the time. When I visited in the summer, they finally took me there. They were saints to my grand folks. I heard that the owner knows them by name and takes such good care of them. The employees also know their names and are just so kind when they walk in. They're in their 90's, so I really appreciate the care they give to their patrons. It was plenty busy with folks of all walks of life and everyone treated well and with a smile. My grandpa picked up dinner and it was wildly wrong so I called to tell them so they can check their orders better. The lady I talked to told me my grandpa lied about showing her his phone with the order, which is crazy, and expected me to believe she read the whole order back to him and he didn't catch the several extra words involved in the wrong version. Then she acted like my phone was breaking up and hung up on me. Like at least say there must have been a misunderstanding instead of just acting like my grandpa is full of it. I was vaguely annoyed about picking off microscopic chives (which side note why are they chopped so tiny?) but I'm definitely going to go elsewhere next time after that...
