True Texas BBQ — Restaurant in Huntsville

I placed my order 6 hours in advance. Within 20 min of placing the order, I get a text saying my order is ready for pickup. I called the store and the guy says their computer put it in the active order screen...even though the time of 5:20pm was clearly on it. He says he'll set it aside and it'll be ready on time. After work I pull up to the curb side pick up spot and text them. I get a response "we'll be out with your order in a moment". Uh huh. I wait 20 minutes and nobody shows up. I call the store and the guy asks me what my order was. I said "you don't have it?" I list a couple of the items and tell him I placed the order 6 hours ago. "Oh! That order! The guy who took that order put the slip somewhere and we can't find it.. We'll get it right out to you". I wait another 15 minutes for a lady to show up with ONLY the items I said when they asked what I ordered. I asked where the rest was and she asks what they were. She says "oh, they're right inside. I'll be right back". I wait another 8 minutes. She comes out with a bag and insists it's all there. It was but the order was still not without problems. But now I'm late so I leave. I get home and I do have to say the turkey and half chicken were fabulous. But the large container of BBQ sauce had lost its lid so EVERYTHING was coated in it. My potato salad was only half full and the honey cornbread was DARK brown and as dry as the Sahara desert. It must have been under the heating lamp all blessed day. And it was supposed to come with honey butter. The container I got was empty EXCEPT for about 1/2 teaspoon of butter smeared on the inside of the lid. Came here in passing from Houston to Dallas. Craving a HEB Root beer for some reason, I'm guessing because there are no HEB near me. Saw the BBQ place and wasn't really hungry but decided to stop by. They were pretty quick, waited like maybe 5 mins and decided to take it to go. Ate in my truck and realized there was no BBQ sauce included. I was immediately upset about it but decided to just try it before I made the trip. I'm kind of glad I did, the Brisket was so freaking good, the flavor was perfect, the salt and flavor mixed was heaven. Once I finished the sandwich I was craving more, I was already on the road but I will definitely be back for more anytime I'm in the area which should be next week. I hope they continue to be consistent with how they make it because that day was the best I've ever had in my life and I've lived in TEXAS my whole life. Straight 5 Stars on...

Stopped here after a long day of shopping. We were very hungry so money was not an object. My husband ordered one beef rib and I ordered a chopped beef sandwich. We sat down to eat and the flies were everywhere. That was so frustrating! As I ate my sandwich I decided to try the BBQ sauce and it was disgusting. The flavor was horrible and seemed to not blend properly. My husband got upset that his rib was fatty and once he found out I paid $30 for that hunk of fat he said oh no ma'am and went to return it. The lady at the register was very kind and we had to wait for her manager to turn the key and I got my money back for it. Overall I can't blame the staff. The owners need to do better. Get honest opinions from people who eat food that's seasoned better. Get rid of the...
