I was familiar with Turbo Coffee back when I lived in Tuscaloosa. I wasn't a coffee drinker then but it was a popular spot among students. I was excited when I heard Turbo was coming to Huntsville -- having since become a coffee lover. The Huntsville Turbo is located in the newly revamped Lincoln Mill. There's ample parking and everything looks clean and modern. The inside of the shop is, in my opinion, very pretty. It'd make a nice place to work or study, assuming the noise doesn't get out of control. I ordered to go so I can't really be sure about what the acoustics are like over time. They do have a nice online ordering system. I didn't use it this time, but the option is there. The service was okay. I sort of felt like I wasn't cool enough to be talking to the employees, but maybe that's me projecting my own insecurities, lol. Coffee and açaí bowl came out in a reasonable time. I ordered an iced cocoa puff latte and a Samoa bowl. The bowl came with bananas, almond butter, chia honey, and cacao nibs. I didn't care for the texture of the cacao nibs and would ask for them to be removed if I visit again, but the other toppings were good. The açaí was a little icy but that improved as it slowly melted. I'd consider ordering another açaí bowl, but I hear good things about the rest of the menu and would probably try a sandwich or something else first. As for the latte...I really didn't like it. I'm not sure why - it sounded right up my alley based off the description. But it tasted really sour to me, and it was also just too bitter. I'll accept that I'm very much a girly coffee drinker -- I like my flavored coffees and I don't like more purist coffee drinks. This gave pretty purist vibes. Nothing wrong with that; just means it isn't for me. That's okay. One another thing to note: pretty expensive, imo. My acai bowl and 16oz came out to $23.08 after tip. They have a large list of smoothies that also sound pretty good, so if I return it'll definitely be one of those with a sandwich or something. :)

Sad.. 8:30am on a SATURDAY Ordered a Viennese coffee.. OUT Ordered the Toastie on Gluten Free Bread.. OUT (said they no longer offer it.. why is it still on the menu?) (preference tho not allergy) Ordered overnight oats that’s in a refrigerator.. comes with 2 fruits.. only had blueberries so I opted for a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin My friend ordered an Açaí bowl.. asked for bananas, blueberries, and strawberries.. ONLY HAD BLUEBERRIES.. paying $14 only to get one option.. you can go to Walmart and get fruit.. easily; no one would know!!! I waited 15 minutes for my sandwich before I went to the counter to ask for it.. it was sitting there getting cold.. no one ever called that it was ready. Took it back to my table and realized the cheese was a cold Kraft Single Cheese slice.. could see the ridges from the plastic paper. Asked for it heated up which they did and it was decent MANAGEMENT this is extremely embarrassing for staff.. they did a decent job and remained professional but having to constantly tell guest after guest that they’re out of something is embarrassing for your hard working people. Edit: 😃! ⭐ 👉🏽 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! Firstly, thank you so much to the owner for such a kind and professional reply! I've been back probably 7 times and absolutely love it here. *Only critique would be the annoying fungus gnats/fruit flies. Cinnamon on the soil of the plants might help if they are fungus gnats (: Previous review: 🚫 Was meeting my friend for coffee and food and wanted to try turbo. We'd never been before. Google hours said they were open, so I suggested it! There was no mention on their socials that they'd be closed. I saw about 5 other potential customers walk up to the door as well, and turn to leave. The shop should have been more considerate. It was a waste of a 20min drive for myself and the friend who drove there to meet up; which was completely avoidable.

Cool and hip looking place but I went twice last week and it looks like they staff it with one employee that has them in this overwhelmed state the whole time I was there. The first time on a Sunday I tried to order an açai bowl. Her response was ‘ well that’s gonna take me a while, ‘ I said OK make it a smoothie. I felt sorry for her thinking someone on a Sunday must not have showed up for work. Smoothie was very good but for 10 bucks very small I’m not looking for a route 44 size drink but at least make it a medium for 10 bucks so I feel halfway full after I finish it. Offer both sizes, I’ll pay more. I go back to the next day on a Monday with twice as many customers in their store and still the one employee, A different one, but with the same overwhelmed look on her face as she tried to complete everyone’s order with about 5-6 people waiting. She did make my açai bowl without any resistance with twice as many people in the store. It did take a while, again very good If not the best I’ve had yet in Huntsville. So a note to the owner Instead of being a cheapskate and ruining your business, trying to milk every nickel out of it with undersized portions and keeping it understaffed. Staff it properly for a business offering specialty drinks that take a while to prepare. You don’t need 3-4 people like a Starbucks setup would have selling the same things, but at least have two so you’re cool hip looking store with great food and drinks can have some great over the top service for your customers as well I’m sure your employees would also appreciate the better working environment. I guarantee you the math will work...
