First and foremost: THIS LOCATION IS OPEN MONDAY - SUNDAY 10:00AM - 11:00PM!! Employees will lie saying they close an hour or half an hour before the scheduled closing time. This is not true. This location, Oakwood Ave - DQ, does not close until 11:00PM every day, Monday - Sunday!!

I always come here for a Royal New York Cheesecake Blizzard. It’s my absolute favorite. There are times I’ll get other treats too. However I’m at the point where I will skip my craving and do without because the service, employees, and food presentation is terrible. Each time I go to this DQ, I encounter a young, rude, disrespectful teenager/young adult who clearly does not want to be there and does not care if they are down-right disrespectful with customers. This always happens. It really never fails. If my order is missing an item or something is wrong with my order and I ask them about it, then I will get an attitude and rudely told I was wrong and would have to pay for another item or meal. Or the other option is to just take whatever I got (whether it’s what I ordered or not) and go about my day. Lately I’ve decided to go about my day because I’m tired of being disrespected by selfish, young brats who only want to stay glued to their cell phones when all I’m trying to do is order myself something to eat or treat myself to ice cream for a pick-me-up.

The DQs on University and South Parkway are COMPLETELY different. I’m not sure what it is about the Oakwood location but they need to get it together. Honestly this location needs a new management and several new employees. Ones who value their jobs, respect and love others as well as themselves, and understand “the customer is always right” is still true and valid. The staff need to take a few pointers from the University and South...

Wow, this was underwhelming!! And, now I understand the other reviews. Worst Blizzards I have received in a lifetime. Ordered two of the Royal Cheesecake Blizzards which should of had strawberry filling throughout the middle.....no strawberry filling at all....cheesecake bites....ice cream....that's it. The other one we ordered was a Butterfinger......barely anything in it. I would hate to think that this type of service is typical....but this is the last time we will spend our money there....better to drive to 31 Flavors on Airport and Whitesburg....or actually buy our own ingredients and make our own.....at least we won't be disappointed!!

Hey, OWNER...your store is failing and you should hire people who care!! IN fact, the McDonalds on North Parkway, made some extreme changes, and their food and Service...is GREAT!! Give it some thought.....by the way...today is June 22, 2025......the horrid service and lackluster blizzards were a week ago....I am the most recent review in a year.....what does...

Ice cream is good. Drive thru service not so much. I was by myself, ordered three blizzards (a bit painfully because apparently they were having headset issues). I got to the window several minutes later. From experience I knew they weren't going to give me a carrier automatically, so I asked for one. When I was handed my blizzards, they had no lids on them and were overly full with spoons stuck in them. So I asked for lids (which being in drive thru should be an automatic thing) expecting dome tops to accommodate ice cream. Instead, appearing inconvenienced, she handed me regular flat drink lids, which were obviously no help. I thanked her and drove away. The whole process took over 10 minutes (drive thru was pretty busy). So, on the way home, ice cream spilled all over my interior console. Been to this location before and had a good experience in-store. Perhaps its just the drive thru...
