We visited this Wendy’s a couple nights ago and the employees that served us did a BIG no-no. They handed the car in front of us their food and then drinks but the customer handed one of the drinks (blue cup) back and was handed their correct drink (clear cup, orange drink). I watched the employee set the cup that the customer had handed back on the counter behind the window. I was in the passenger seat so I could see it the whole time. When we got to that window they gave us our food and then tried to hand us the same cup that was handed to the person in front of us. My driver asked if it was the same one they had handed to the people in front of us and she replied “yes” - I believe this person is hearing impaired though, so they may have been confused. They continued to try to tell us it was a new drink even when I had watched the cup the whole time after it was handed back to them and told them so. The ONLY time they touched it between setting it down and handing it to us was just once someone touched it and turned it around a little. As far as I know, taking food back after it is served is a big no-no in the food industry, but it’s surely an even BIGGER one to HAND THE SAME FOOD/DRINK TO SOMEONE ELSE!!! I waited 20 minutes for my food with 1 person in the lobby and 1 person in the drive through during my entire wait, once I received my food it was all cold/soggy and the burgers were smashed. I brought up my concerns to the manager and was offered a refund but I did not take it due to not seeing the state of the burgers before asking for the survey which I really should have checked in hindsight.
The manager tried to say that she had only been there 5 days and she didn't know what things were like before she got there, threw previous managers under the bus saying they were not trained and assured me she had been with the company for 5 years and was working to turn this location around. That is all well and good and I do appreciate a line of dialogue being opened however you are suffering from the SAME ISSUES, I would argue it's worse with the wait now and nothing is more infuriating that overpaying for sub-par food. Read moreWent through the drive-thru. The human contact these days is really bad. These people don't smile and try very hard not to interact with customers. They had us to pull over to wait on our order to be filled and we had to wait 45 minutes after pulling out of line. Three (3) different people brought our order out to our car at three (3) different intervals!!! It really was a damn good thing that we checked our order closely!!! They were taking inside store orders after our order and filling them as fast as could be. The drive-thru moved fast also. We sat and watched the whole "show"! This process reeks of very bad management!! We spent 45$ on food at your fast food place that day. We will NEVER do that again!!! Wendy's should be ashamed. Better suggestion, CLOSE that fast food place!! There are MUCH better options for food just next door! Your food comes out cold except for the Frosty's.
