Rainbow Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Huron

Currently on a small Birthday getaway with some friends at Kalahari. We decided to check the local Chinese cuisine scene and saw the 4.5 star review and looked at the reviews and decided Rainbow! We arrive at a strip of stores and see the little yellow sign. As we step in its a little cold, probably door seals and kind of small. There were a couple small tables with a few chairs, but we opted for the car with heat. The food took longer than the average 15 minutes till its ready. Which was WELL WORTH THE WAIT! We had ordered about 6 or 7 things in small portions to try as much as we could. Everything was hot and fresh and smelled amazing. The cran rangoon was PERFECT, crunchy and soft in all the right places, over stuffed and full of flavor! Bourbon and Teriyaki chicken is to die for. The lo mein wasn't over cooked and all the vegetables were soft with the smallest of bites. I didn't feel like I was eating baby food nor biting through turtle shells. 10/10 would recommend and we will def. be back next year. My Husband picked up some crab rangoon, some egg rolls, soup and beef and broccoli. I wouldn’t even give them a quarter of one star if I had the option. The egg rolls are dry, bland and taste worse than frozen store bought. Don’t get me started on the crab rangoon; no sauce with it, no crab, no flavor and no good!! It literally tastes like cream cheese. Like they packed it with plain cream cheese and fried it up. I will most definitely not be eating here again and I would never recommend anyone else to waste their hard earned money at this place. It’s obvious that they have no desire to please their customers and they’re not interested in anything aside from paying the bills. However I will say that I’m finding the same issue most everywhere. People simply don’t care anymore. I will indeed recommend Mandarin in Oberlin , Oh. Their customer service is outta this world and their food is never disappointing. Used to go here a few times per month. Food was good and reasonably priced. Been using them for years. Over last 12 months something has changed. The quality is less but still decent but cost have gone up alot and they have started charging a credit card fee, which is not posted, they raised all prices, and now charge for anything custom and also $2 upcharge for fried rice. A year ago same order that was under $30 is now $45. Service also got bad, told 30 mins once and 45 another and got there to wait another 30 +. Lower quality now, higher prices, and worse service.
