Sand Bar — Restaurant in Huron

My family of 5 (my husband, me, my 12 year old and twin 10 year olds) ate here today (4/29/2018 at around 5. I love these kind of places, it had a small friendly atmosphere with music playing and sports on the televisions. My husband had the lasagna with garlic bread (the bread was nice and crunchy), I had a shrimp basket that was delicious, one of my daughters had the chicken tender basket and she loved it, one daughter had a BLT and she finished it before we left, and my other daughter had a grilled cheese. The food was delicious and the boneless wing appetizer was perfect, not to much sauce! Our waitress (I am sorry, I don't remember her name) Was very helpful when we were ordering and came by often to see if we needed anything. Second visit for decent Perch dinner. Several years ago I visited with my father who at the time was unable to really converse due to a life changing stroke. Another patron, clearly intoxicated, recognized Dad and came over to our table and commenced to have a conversation with my father. Even though my dad’s responses were limited the other guy thought they were chatting. It was funny to witness and my pops recognized that the other guy didn’t understand the situation. We went on Saturday evening, a little later than the dinner rush, and had a horrible experience! We were going to order a veggie basket, however they were out of fried mushrooms and cauliflower. We ordered the fried pickles, and with a group of 10, thought we'd order another. They were out of those as well. The waitress told us they are usually out of everything on Sundays, but not Saturday! Really?! To top it off, only three of the four pizzas we ordered came out and they were burnt. They did take the pizza off of everyone's bill, but I was shocked at how bad the experience was.
