We were having a horrible weekend, both of us tired, tense, hungry and it was 7:30 on a Sunday. I was sick of the local kids who don't care enough to make a taco right so I searched food and our zip. I'm sadly familiar with this page so when I saw Sergios was a new option & different I checked the review & pictures first. There was a very promising picture of a chicken alfredo.. My curiosity kicked in so I looked at everything. CHICKEN ALFREDO WAFFLE FR....SOLD! (In my head) "babe what you think of Italian, this new place called Sergios" before she could answer I showed her the picture of steak, shrimp, loaded baked potato & veggies and before her mouth could drop open.... SOLD
Within 2 minutes we were out the door. We live close by so we hoped stopping in so late on a Sunday wouldn't ruin there close up, we know how that line of work is and don't want to be the people who walk in right at close & keep everyone. We were going to do take out(if they had it) but walking with only a couple people in, it was nice & the booths were comfy. Butt doesn't hurt after sitting to long huge side note win.
The menu as loaded with options that made out mouths water it was almost hard to choose but we had to try what we saw first. I guess it was already improving our moods because we both decided to order a drink( I don't EVER drink accept rare occasions). She tried the Spicy pineapple thingy & due to them having a busy weekend, sadly was out of my top 2 choices. Luckily I had a kick..awesome waiter who made some homemade tossed together on the fly outa what you got quick..I said something kinda fruity but not to strong. The whole thing was weird for me to be honest, but dude nailed it! I mean exactly what I said.
As we waited on our food & checked the place out a group of church kids came in to kidnap the owner, something about a scavenger hunt I think. Dude without hesitation & a smile gladly helped them out. Reason I mention it that way is one kid said "don't worry we'll bring you back" in this odd tone and he was gone a minute. I think they needed a photo
Food arrived fast & hot like QRF after seal team six and did it ever deliver shock and awe!! We probably looked odd as we starred for a second but we needed a moment to let it sink in. Portion size was above & beyond! We probably could have shared just one of the plates but that wasn't going to happen. We always share a bit if we get something different...big mistake. It wasn't long after the owner returned from his kidnapping & checked on us. My mouth wasn't not going to be full but he understood man grunt for OMG bro. Oh and did I forget to mention we got the biggest baked potato we had ever seen.
Think of it like this, your going out to eat. You know just for you, your looking at anywhere from 8-15$ depend on how much you eat or where you go and most likely wont feel full or will feel groggy bloated or with some form of "oh I shouldn't have ate that".. We didn't get that feeling at all and we ate like starving pigs(Yes I'm ashamed to admit that). We took our leftovers home and planned on sharing with our pups but once I opened that box I started eating again because it was that ** good! A note on the prices given the times, we purposely splurged a bit and all it did was add 20 to our total so if your eating here frequently(which you should) it wont break the bank. Its no dollar menu but you honestly get what you pay for and I promise you will have no complaints.
By the end of our meal, we felt beyond great, full not fluffy, happy not hangry and a truly crappy weekend was somehow magically and completely dismissed thanks to that one meal. And were still trying to figure out how he made my drink..I don't want to know just want it again
I know its a mini book not a review but I felt ever detail matter as this was a rare 10/10 of us and that feels like were shorting them. Thanks to all at Sergios for a phenomenal experience. We will be back like the terminator.. all what 20 movies now.. I'm...
Read moreI've rounded up to 4 stars because I can't give 3 1/2. We ordered the arancini appetizer, seafood fettuccine with minestrone soup and fettuccine Neapolitan with a house salad. The soup and salad came out pretty quickly. The salad was fresh. It contains olives which isn't mentioned on the menu and I don't like olives but my wife loves them so not a problem. The minestrone took me back to my childhood but not in a good way. My wife and I agreed that it tastes exactly like Campbell's beef noodle soup. I wouldn't call it bad, just not to my taste. A basket of bread sticks were brought out. After trying them, I asked if they are made in-house. I didn't get a clear answer. I was told "we bake them here". If I buy frozen ones, I bake them myself. That doesn't mean I make them. I asked because theirs have the same flavor and texture as frozen bread sticks I've had from the grocery store. They aren't bad but compared to some of the other Italian restaurants in the state, they're a let down. The arancini bites were disappointing. I expect arancini to be primarily a rice ball. These were basically deep fried cheese balls. If there was rice in them, it was undetectable. They are served with a tomato sauce for dipping. The server called it marinara but it was a lot more like salsa but without the cilantro or cumin. We had a little wait for the entrees. When they arrived, the first thing I noticed was the watery sauce. That was disappointing but the flavor was good and the sausage did thicken up a bit as the dish cooled. The service was friendly and attentive though a little unconfident. Overall, the meal was good but not the quality I was expecting. I will go back but with lowered expectations and will likely...
Read moreCame in for dinner expecting a wait. The host were all very sweet and let us know how long of a wait it would be. We were asked to wait in our car due to safety regulations which we understand and didn’t mind. Our wait was actually less than we were originally told which was very nice and we were quickly sat and greeted by our server who took our drinks and recommended a few appetizers. She checked on us often throughout our visit and kept up with refills and cleared plates. As for the food we chose the fried mozzarella as an appetizer which was very good! For our meals we chose the meat lasagna(my husbands meal) which we were informed was now made in house and the four cheese penne(myself) and got our son the kids chicken Alfredo. The meat lasagna was AMAZING! As someone who normally doesn’t eat tomato based sauces I wished I had ordered this myself. Luckily my husband let me try it because it was truly so delicious and a very generous portion. The four cheese penne was also delicious very cheesey. My son loved his Alfredo as well and the sauce was not at all watery like other reviews have mentioned. We almost never get dessert but our server talked us into the tiramisu and we did not regret it at all! We will definitely be back! We were also checked on by the manager and Sergio himself which shows how much care they’re putting into this restaurant. I’m very excited to have something like this...
