Black Rock Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Hurst

Sure the coffee and food was good but the online ordering experience was very frustrating. The Black Rock app doesn't let you order food. The website doesn't let you order a simple drip coffee. So if you want food and drip coffee you can't order both on one platform... unless one of the other 9 order platforms has both options, but I don't have time to explore 9 order platforms for such a simple order. So we ordered online and I went to the store to pick up the order and also order and wait for a drip coffee. Arrived to a store early in the morning with zero customers inside and zero in the drive through... but my order was still on the printer and had not been started. So ordering ahead saved no time at pickup.

I started to grab a couple cup lid stoppers, but the employee put a little round sticker over the lid holes. So now we have sticky glue where we are supposed to put our mouth.

I got home and was half finished with my coffee and food and received a text saying my online order was ready for pickup. Worthless notification from a near-worthless online ordering platform.

Also, your hours on Apple Maps show you open at 9 am every day, so there's that.

So many locations across multiple states, and you still have all these little nuisances.... I hope you actually look at your processes and make some improvements, but in the meantime I'll go somewhere that has similar quality but much less friction in the...

Usually do not leave a bad review because I am definitely not a “Karen” however customer service at Black Rock is terrible, literally. I came in to simply buy a gift card for a present and waiting in line. (I was the only one.) Waited exactly 32 min to simply watch the employees catch up with i’m assuming online orders and drive thru, however it was slow inside. Not to mention I wasn’t even greeted when I came in or was told sorry about the wait, employees pretended as if I was just not there even though they saw me waiting, and this is coming from someone who has worked retail and food industry . I went to Starbucks down the street instead which was packed however was greeted with a smile and was helped out quickly. Black Rock I will say bravo for the creative drinks, but what good is it if there is no one to help or serve you? They probably would’ve asked for a tip on their little iPad as well if I ended up waiting even longer just to buy the gift card LOL. Very...

I got the xl matcha latte. clearly was just milk with a sprinkle of matcha because it was basically white. I ordered it with oatmilk. I did not receive oatmilk. I thought it tasted funny, but just chalked it up to it being mostly milk and not matcha at all. It was definitely cows milk. I sat down at the couches and my head started hurting so bad it felt like i was just gonna fall over and pass out. I packed up and as soon as i made it back to my car i started projectile vomiting in the parking lot. Funny but also not. I threw up everything. Went home and threw up some more.
