Went on a Monday evening (spring time, no NFL on) for dinner. Had 6 boneless buffalo wings (mango habanero), waffle fries with seasoned sour cream, and 2 beers. So we will start with the food:
The 6 wings I had were basically one bite popcorn chicken tenders with a decent flavor. Not even close to worth your money ordering. The fries and seasoned sour cream were decent. I was annoyed that the menu list the seasoned sour cream below the fries in smaller print like a description, but that is actually an additional $2 in price. This is not clear on the menu.
The beer: Selection is meh. The big name brands are there (Bud, Miller, MGD) but do not go in hoping to find any beer from smaller craft breweries. They did have Castle Danger Cream Ale and Summit IPA, but that was the extent. There was a sticker for the brewery in town, Bobbing Bobber, so I asked if they had any. The bartender told me they occasionally have some stray cans, but not regularly. Seemed like a missed opportunity there.
The atmosphere: The staff were personable and friendly. I am not a talker and they didn't try to engage in fake conversation, but were attentive to my service needs and very polite when working with me. At one point I walked away from the bar and covered by beer with my coaster (universal sign of, "I'm coming back.") and when I returned they had tossed out the rest of my fries. I was actually done, but the bartender apologized about that. I told them it was completely fine.
Music via Touch Tunes. Lots of country music going, and later more 90's rock/pop as the age of the patrons declined.
I would go again, but I learned...
Read moreThe place was cute from the outside and inside was nice. I was pretty disappointed with my food and service though. I ordered a Margherita flatbread, and when it came, there was no basil leaves- basically it was tomato pizza with sauce and cheese. I let my server know, “This is missing the basil. It needs to go back. I ordered a Margarita flatbread.” She said that is how they make their margarita flatbread. She pointed to the Italian seasoning I added (they provide Italian seasoning, pepper and parmesan on the table) and said that is what they put on their margarita flatbreads. I let her know I had added that seasoning. The server then brought me out an additional little serving cup with dried seasoning. If the server would’ve just said, “Hey, sorry we’re out of fresh basil. Would you like something else?” I would’ve ordered something else. Maybe she was telling the truth and that is truly how they make their Margarita Flatbreads? Either way it...
Read moreService- Terrible came in with family, ordered our food. (Places was not packed) Waited about an 1hour and 15 min before food actually came out. Forgot some of our sauces so asked for some never came with them. So just got up and asked again then they were brought. Also none of us ever had our drinks refilled and were never asked The entire time there. Which was about 1hour and 40 min (since drinks are the first thing you get before ordering your food) we were only approached to take order, drop off food and with bill. Tips are also already added on your bill at 20% at least mine was. Other family member had 18% so not sure how percent is decided. Might explain why service was not good. We did have slightly larger bill.
Pool table was fun though. Food was okay 5/10. Wings are similar to taco johns. Would not come...
