A surprising taco gem located in Round Rock off of HWY 79 next to Eli's farmer's market. Sold out of a food truck with a connected tent with a few tables if you want to eat there. I live 10min from it and never knew it was there until I stopped by the farmer's market next door. I've had the beef (served chopped), chicken, campechano, pastor and barbacoa. They also have mini tacos that are great for apps. Today our friend had the shredded beef quesadilla and she liked it. All super delicious. The corn tortillas are amazing, not dry and brittle like most. Some of the beef tacos are a little greasy that is probably from the meat fat which makes it moist and tasty, contrast with salsa and some lime. I grew up in Texas so I know my tacos. I could eat it every day! Oh, and easy on the pocket book too, great treat on a budget during the pandemic is a gift. Check this place out. They are super friendly as well. I would give this place 10...
Read moreA worthwhile stop! Very simple and authentic flavors. I ordered the gordita which had a very traditional crispy texture on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. You can get any protein filling in anything you want (tacos, gordita, torta) (shredded beef, shredded chicken, barbacoa, pastor, etc etc) pictured is the Shredded Beef Gordita. Hot Food was Hot and Cold Drinks were Cold. I will definitely be putting this into my regular rotation when I am in this town. Would recommend! [The staff I interacted was perfectly bilingual. Staff that is more Spanish than English does a pretty good job at getting your order right as well. ] Note: this is a taco truck with outdoor covered seating. This is not an...
Read moreI’m not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, maybe things have changed? Because, I have nothing but good things to say about my Taqueria Jaguar’s experience. I am a born and raised Southern California girl, used to driving into Mexico as a child for tacos and an ice cold soda. I am used to MEXICAN food, not TexMex. Don’t get me wrong TexMex has its place in the food world, but sometimes you NEED real Mexican food. Today was that day. The taquitos, beans and rice plate with tip was around $10-12ish and a GREAT deal for 6 taquitos, rice and beans. The green salsa WAS SO GOOD! I cannot wait to bring my husband back as we are both from Southern California. This is our new...
