10/10 would not go again. Today July 16th visited this establishment and ordered a brown sugar milk tea. What I received was nothing more than milk, ice, and boba in a cup completely different from what any other boba shop typically serves. There was no tea, no brown sugar syrup, and the drink wasn’t even shaken. It was just poured together and handed over.
When I approached the young woman at the counter about it, she insisted that the drink was made correctly. First, she claimed it was made with milk, cocoa powder, and boba (which made no sense and clearly wasn’t true), and then changed her story mid-conversation to say it included tea. I watched the drink being made…. no tea, no cocoa powder, no syrup, just milk over boba and ice. It was disheartening to be lied to so directly just to save face.
A young man working there tried to help by adding more syrup, but the drink still tasted like straight milk with no depth or flavor. I ended up throwing it away on the spot.
To make things worse, I also ordered the rainbow soup dumplings. Within three minutes of eating them, I was physically sick throwing up. I don’t know what was in them, but something clearly wasn’t right.
Yes, the orders bothered me but the dishonesty took the icing on the cake. If something’s wrong, own it and offer a solution. Instead, they provided defensiveness and lies. I won’t be returning. I wish I had taken a pic to...
Read moreThe location is spot-on, however the directions to get there are cumbersome. It's one of the few reasons I wouldn't head back. I ordered the 4-piece add-on of individual chicken thighs (2 spicy, 2 mild), cheese curds (the cashier heard it as cheesy fries 🙃), curly fries, and winter melon milk green tea.
It took nearly 30 minutes to receive everything and then when I thankfully checked, I initially asked for cheese curds but on the receipt 🧾 it was marked as cheesy fries. So I informed them and they switched it out. They did good on that! I had to get the curds because it's rare for a restaurant to sell them outside the Midwest. They have big chicken thighs, with lota of flavor.
The paper box packaging is difficult to re-close which is a pain and the they don't have paper straws, recycling, or composting. As of June soon, restaurants are required to ask if the customer wants utensils/straws, etc.
Good visit overall👍🏾. Maybe I'd come back for a fruity drink...
Read moreOrdered Uber eats for pickup and the restaurant canceled my order stating they had kitchen issues (no one called to inform me so I went to the restaurant because the app said my food was ready). I arrived at the restaurant and Joanna the cashier stated she had canceled and refunded my order. The order was still showing active in Uber eats 15 min later and when I called Uber they stated the restaurant did not cancel nor refund the order. Uber advised that I call the restaurant again. called the restaurant and Joanna stated she didn’t know how to handle the Uber Eats system. When I asked to speak to a manager she stated the manager was not there nor would she provide a time when the manager would show. I asked her to call Uber on behalf of her company and she refused. PISS POOR SERVICE (it is now 30 min later and my food shows active...
