Oh boy! It has been a while since I’ve had a good burger! I am sure glad I ordered it on my cheat day. Durango style burger! So good!

Frijoles and sopa de arroz were so good. My kids had some leftover from their order and it turned into an argument the next day over who would eat it. Both of them wanted it! -Torta de asada was also very good according to my son. -tacos de asada were also a hit. I also had a taco de chile relleno and it was delish! I know how hard they are to mKe so I hardy make them at home, well I am glad I got to eat one at Castillos’s.

They also have guizos estilo Durango. They are very good!

There is a small seating area, most of the people get the food to go, but we came from very far and were not about to wait to eat until we got home. Ordered from here for the first time on Saturday May 9th. After placing order on the phone the lady tells me the prices have gone up a bit due to meat shortage and higher prices for them due to COVID. I told her I understood and that a couple cents here and there wouldn’t hurt me. When I got there to pick up our order which was about 12 tacos, 2 tortas and 1 burrito I was informed the total was $95! I had to ask her one more time to make sure I heard her right. Now the only reason I took the food was because I had people starving at home and because the food was already made, but $95?!! You don’t even pay that at Cocula right now and they are way more expensive!! This is terrible that during a time like this these people are trying to overcompensate for loss of money and business especially when people are short on money themselves. This place lives up to the hype! Very good authentic Mexican food! My hubby & I stopped here to pick up some food on our way home. We ordered a half dozen pork tamales, a steak tacos dinner & some elote. Everything was on point! Fresh & delicious! The cashier was also very nice. She gave us a complimentary cup of their creamy verde salsa! I enjoyed the spiciness of the sauce with the tamales. We will definitely go back! For anyone who hasn't been here, give them a try.
