Read moreThe customer service was very unprofessional. I went here yesterday around 5:30-45ish for a large order that turned into a small order. I needed six dinners and mac and cheese was one of the sides for all six. I noticed it was about three scoops of mac and cheese left in the display pan. I asked the cashier was there any more mac and cheese coming out and he asked the manager and she told me it was going to be 30-45(really was 15) minutes and what was out was more than enough which upset me because she didn't know how much I needed so I walked out and sat in my car directly in front to watch everything that was going on inside. I went back in 15 minutes later after the fresh pan of mac and cheese was set out. Six dinners went down to two. I ordered the beef ribs which appeared to be less than what is needed for a meal. I asked the cashier is there more coming out and she told me no, keep in mind it's not 6pm yet and they close at 9. The manager asked what was the problem and I told her what I wanted to order and like magic there was a fresh pan of beef ribs so at this point I'm confused as to why the young lady would lie or if she wasn't sure she should have asked instead of telling me there were no more beef ribs for the night. The energy was bad in that place and I will never go back. We the customers are the reason why the doors to Bjs is still open. The people working there with bad attitudes are the face of the business and it is not a good look. Then wonder why people don't like fooling with black...
Read moreI really enjoy supporting community restaurants, especially black owned businesses, and this place is one of my favorites. However, I have to be honest.... today, the food wasn't so good. To be clear, Im not what you would consider a regular....however I am a faithful frequent customer. I ordered the short ribs with mac and cheese , dressing with a side of gravy and cranberry sauce... then added a side of yams. This is always my 1st option when I'm undecided on what to order.....its also a favorite because the short ribs of beef are usually very, very, very good. The mac n chees was chewy as if the pasta was undercooked ... the yams were over cooked and the flavor was off. The dressing was not good at all... texture taste flavor... all off. The ribs were not falling off the bone , not tender honesty....they were a little tough, and the taste was disappointing..... I was honestly really put off ... This is not a negative review it's an unfortunate circumstance, in my opinion. This experience is very rare for BJ's market. it is not common for this restaurant. That's why I give it three stars... they have set high expectations for themselves...in my opinion rarely ever disappointing. I'm looking forward to the turnaround. I couldn't throw the food away. It's still in my fridge.🤔😒🙄😳 I purchased it on Wednesday....
