Dunkin' — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

For the first (and hopefully the LAST) time ever, I was refused a free item at a servicing restaurant on Veterans Day. The intake person probably didn't hear me when I said that the donut was for Veterans Day which was why she charged me...so then I showed my ID, and she called for the manager to assist.

The manager refused to give me the donut, saying that she couldn't give it away. Tempers escalated just a tad bit, but I told her that she absolutely could give me the donut. Every Dunkin Donuts does this on Veterans Day.

At the end of it all, I was not going to continue with her and back up the line behind me, so I drove away.

Shame on the manager for her horrible behavior. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. VETERANS DAY COMES ONCE PER YEAR...REGARDLESS OF HOW ONE FEELS ABOUT THE MILITARY AND THE PERSONNEL WHO SERVE(D) THE MANAGER'S JOB IS TO GIVE A VETERAN A DONUT ON VETERANS DAY WHEN THAT PERSON REQUESTS ONE. PERIOD. END OF DISCUSSION. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO YOUR JOB I AM SURE THERE ARE HUNDREDS (IF NOT THOUSANDS) OF OTHER PEOPLE WHO WILL GLADLY TAKE YOUR PLACE.

Never again! I have visited this location on 3 occasions and have had a bad experience every single time. The customer service was good but the product was terrible! The first time I ordered an iced coffee and was instantly sick to my stomach, I assumed it was the creamer so I disregarded. The second time I changed my order to a Caramel Iced Latte (no creamer) and was sick within the first few sips, I vomited. This time I figured it was the whole milk. Gave it one more chance last weekend and ordered a Coconut Milk Iced Latte (trying to be optimistic here) and the taste was absolutely disgusting! It had a burnt plastic after taste that I couldn't stomach so that was money that went to waste. I don't know what the cleanliness is at this establishment, if they are tracking expiration dates or if they are checking milks, creamers, etc for freshness. I really did try to give this location a chance, its in a convenient location before heading to the expressway....

My parents and grandma went to this location about an hour ago and they said that they had ordered a large coffee and got a small hot chocolate which was completely opposite of what they ordered. My mother ordered a large hot chocolate and it tastes like water. What kind of chocolate would taste like water, that makes completely no sense. My father also asked for a large hot coffee with cream and sugar but he said that the coffee had no sugar! The customer service is also bad, my parents said that the guy had a bad attitude. This bad experience was honestly not the first time but this time I decided to write a review because there is no reason for this to happen. We went to our Dunkin Donuts that we usually go to and it is so different because right there they have great customer service and you get what you order unlike in this location.
