The food is great. I used to travel a long distance, like I did today, for the orange chicken. When I go, my family and I get our own separate entree’s; the three item combo (and I’d always have plenty leftovers for lunch the next day). I cannot tell you how disappointed I am. We were rushed to order; ordering 3 meals for 3 people, one of which wasn’t present is complicated. We clearly said “3 three item combos”, we only got 2. They were rushing so much they didn’t hear me. So, I just shrugged it off and let the man pack it. It got so bad, I had to say out loud “ I’m going to need everyone to slow down; I can’t think.” So the 3 TWO item combos were packed and it was time to pay. I gave the guy the money and my mother asked “why do you all rush through orders?” The man didn’t answer. My mother asked again a little louder and the man smirks and says “rush, rush, rush....” under his breath while avoiding eye contact. I’m a forgiving person to a fault at times, but I don’t let anyone disrespect my mother. I asked for my money back and we left. I’m so tired of these neighborhood private owned establishments treating people of the area so negatively. You cannot run a business classifying everyone you come across the same way; we are NOT the same. Being proactive with your attitude is a quick way to lose customers. Lastly, to the owners and staff of New China Express, you never know who’s on the other side of the counter. Treat people that patronize your establishment with respect always. The first one I asked for bourbon chicken, Pepper, steak and shrimp egg foo young and I asked for chow mein noodles. First, I asked for the chow mein noodles to be spicy. It was not. There was no gravy with the shrimp egg foo young. It was pretty basic plain nothing to be excited about. The second plate I ordered I asked for all three entrées to be sweet-and-sour chicken Just steam rice. I asked for the sauce to be separated from chicken because this was for my little one. The rice must have been sitting for a while because, it was both mushy and hard. The orange chicken was bland and had hard pieces, the black pepper chickens' vegetables were not fully cooked...
